hope it doesn't go the way of moto40. It was cool to see and hear Chad on the equipment and radios when he was there. once he had his fun with it someone else bought and kept it for themselves.

My first race was there. Have not been there in years but it was a really nice facility. The track itself was pretty simple and alot of fun. No real giant jumps or anything.
Side note. Was my first race and it was a mudder. The mud packed in the shift lever and I got caught in neutral and ran over a flagger.

Indeed. He know's what he's up agains (see link below). He also knows he's done a lot with not as much as others. I think his wins and championships largely come from his hitting a strange period where no one was really dominating. Post Dunge and Pre Jett. The two most gifted of this interim period both should have dominated but didn't. Kenny because of brutal injuries, and Eli due to strange bad rides. You can put Chase in the Eli section also. The days of no-domination are over.
Its a decent smaller track with LOTS of potential. We held an AMA race there a few years back. I am personally super excited to see what CW2 does with the place. We'd love to carry the state series back there again!!!
Damn, a thread about good news at the local level turns into a character assasination because Ass Lich doesn’t like Webb. I ain’t his biggest fan either, but at least he is giving back to the local Moto community.

Did you expect anything different? HL’s life mission is to say negative shit about Webb and erase his name from Vital. What a sad, sorry, pathetic existence it must be.
I don't think it's Webb-throating, I just think people are tired of your shtick. You're making fat jokes in a thread about a guy investing at the grass roots level in his home state.

For him to be so fixated on “fat” is an indicator of trauma at some time in his life by something or someone fat…
Maybe he gets his ass spanked by a fat guy every week on the track or…

So with Coop owning this and obviously is wealthy given his SX/MX earnings, how does he set up the business to completely isolate himself personally from any money hungry attorney's coming after his coin if there is a bad accident where someone gets hurt? I hate this litigation society we live in, but it is what it is. How does he set up the business?

Thanks ChatGPT. Some of this is not applicable as I assume the track will be for public use and is charging fees.
How a Property Owner Can Protect Themselves Adequate Insurance
If the track charges fees or is open to the public, carry at least the statutorily required $1M/$2M liability insurance. (Insurance Mandate (N.C. Gen. Stat. Chapter 66, Article 47): For motocross facilities that charge fees or are open to public, the law (effective July 1, 2019) requires carrying at least $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate liability insurance for injuries related to ATV or off‑road motorcycle operation. Facilities that are private, not open to the public, and do not charge fees are exempt).
In private-use cases, still consider liability coverage, perhaps in the $2M+ range, which is standard for such high-risk facilities
Use Enforceable Waivers
Have all riders sign a written, carefully drafted liability release and assumption-of-risk form before use. These should clearly define inherent risks and release the owner from ordinary negligence, crafted to avoid statutory or public-policy issues.
Maintain and Inspect Regularly
Conduct frequent inspections, remove or mark hazards (e.g. buried objects, poor jumps), and fix known unsafe conditions.
Provide visible warnings for hidden dangers and maintain records of inspections and repairs.
Clearly Define Use Conditions
Limit track access to only invited riders if private-use. Charging any fee or advertising public access places the owner into the commercial category and triggers insurance requirements and higher duty of care.
Follow Statute on Recreation
If operating without charge, ensure compliance with Chapter 38A, meaning no fee is charged and no promotion. This may reduce liability to that of a trespasser duty—but automatic disclaimers may not suffice for gross negligence or willful misconduct

Or he used to be. Gal in my dorm in college used to absolutely trash on anyone who was overweight. Came to find out that despite being fit in college, she was very overweight all through elementary/middle school.
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MX industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MX t-shirt.

New schedule just announced…..closed for summers😂
I wonder what his plans are? Be cool to get a presser from him.
…I didn’t want to be the first to say it, lol

He's diversifying. He bought a McDonald's late last year, and a KFC the year before.
Cool to see Webb do this while he's still racing. On a side note that picture is like 9 years old.
Gotta put all the money from those Supercross wins and championships somewhere right?
I heard if he hadn't hurt his thumb and gifted Jett the 2024 Championship that he was gonna buy an Outback Steakhouse with that bonus.
You’re more funny when you’re yelling about gay rights in non moto and the dumbgeon. The Webb bit is played out. It’s become dry. You can do better.
How does it compare to other Nc tracks?

I still got 5th in 450c. So whatever.
it was my first thought. hope im wrong.
Sounds like a retirement is coming soon.
Did he buy boogies smoke shop too?
Webb-throating runs deep here...

Its a great location aswell. Pretty close to charlotte and other suburban places.
Nc and sc actually have a pretty strong mx/offroad following. Feels like 1 in 5 households around here rides.
Pit Row
Pretty dang cool. I think it's well known that you dont get rich buying a track so Webb has other motivations. Can't wait to hear what his plans are.

I have really liked racing at Top Gun its a good safe track. Wonder what changes are coming? MX school after he retires?
Was it just the track or the whole MC dealership its behind that had owned it?
I would assume just the mx track.
I talked to Brian a few weeks ago about it and the shop has new owners and the track had separate owners.
but i do miss when the Lanes and Moto Joe had it going. Great times
“He hitting a strange period where no one was really dominating. Post Dunge and Pre Jett.”
Ah yes, 2025 SX, the pre-Jett era. Hope he can get up to speed soon so we can see what he’s capable of. lol

it was some rocking times.
we had right at 500 entries multiple times, especially on the weekend of LL's, and never ran past 11:30 pm.
hoping cw2 can do well.
somewhat limited by space, but such a great location for an area that really needs a convenient practice facility.
Jett Lawrence was out for almost the whole season. So, you're right, not officially the pre-Jett era, but he wasn't racing.
