Same, but lucky for us the 250 rider is a huge deal in the event and a lot can happen.  Although idk wtf we do now Eli isn’t on par at the moment.  RJ?

I’m still rolling with ET and J-Coop (if Sexton doesn’t go.) something is obviously up with ET though. Hopefully he can get back to his early season speed.

Cooper and Hampshire if the trend continues for Eli.

Just realised we could have Beaton on a Star Yamaha.. (If we didn't go Webster again for whatever reason)

I like the us chances this year. Excited to hear the team since it’s at iron man. Deegan is the only 250 choice. Don’t think Eli would go and half ass it. Then we have chase j coop and rj who all great choices. But as the title states I don’t see anyone beating Jett and hunter if they start up front.

Arguably we’ve got two of the top five 450 riders in the world at the moment.  All depends on a 250 guy that can lay done one good moto.

Who do you put on the 250? Jett, Hunter, Webster and Beaton are all 450 riders. Fingers crossed everyone stays healthy but we could go back to back this year with the line up we have at the moment

Jett has shown in the last 2 races he doesn't need to start up front. I don't want to be that guy but the guys have to make it through 4 more nationals and SMX.

JCoop and RJ are rising, ET and AP are sliding back. I would go those two and Deegan.

Its MXON, we waited 20+ years for the win.

We have had great teams before and not so great luck, nothing is a given, not even a podium.

There 10+ other great teams capable of a win on a given day.

At the moment, Eli is not one of them.

Oh I wouldn't play with either of the Lawrence's stepping down I mean I guess you could but that's a big call haha

Could easily stick with Webster and have an all HRC team again but Beaton on a Star 250 could be interesting too

Webster is also a 450 guy but did the job on the 250 last year.
Positives for Webster- all HRC team and part of the defending team.
Positives for Beaton- currently beating Webster for the Aussie title and is in great form. Would Star give him a bike?

I’m not being a dick, I would legitimately like to know why is it Star’s responsibility to give him a bike?

Yamaha would probably prefer a Star bike that already has the resources over there compared to a shipped or spec'd bike from the Aus Yamaha 250 team.

I’m sure Yamaha would prefer Star Yamaha provide the bike, resources and all other costs associated with these very expensive bikes. But my question is why would they? Beaton isn’t a Star Yamaha rider. He’s not on Team USA (assuming that team will have at least 2 Star Yamaha riders) I guess if Aus Yamaha gives them some sort of financial incentive or pays for the bike/parts then I can understand them helping out by getting a bike ready. Anyways, I’m probably putting too much thought into that. It’ll most likely be Webster as the 250 rider. He helped them win last year and Honda will already be there supporting two Aussie’s.

Yeah. I don't know about the overall, because the US has by far the best 250 rider. But in terms of races I fully expect the Lawrences to go 1, 1, 1-2 in their races. With Herlings out and Gajser just coming back I don't see anybody challenging them. Coenen isn't at that level I don't think. He might try and crash out like last year though.

They truly need to look at doing MXDN every couple of years with the sharp decline of MXGP. Give us back another national and call it good. Seems like a waste to do MXDN with how far behind on depth and speed the current GP riders are. The top 10 will be U.S. based riders anyways.

Sexton,Jcoop and Deegan...that's the team. Or I would take Sexton, Tomac , Deegan. Tomac will step up if selected.

I expect Chase to be beating Hunter before end of season, and the top MXGP guys I feel are slightly above Hunter.

Maybe the Bullet or Gasjer steals a moto from Jett. This is a team race thank goodness and with a little luck we could have the best team on paper. J Coop has stepped up in the past but it was in the 250 role where only one good result was likely necessary. We need Eli to snap out of this funk at least for that weekend and Chase to get out of his own head and ride the bike like he knows how.

I would say there were even more than those two who could steal a moto from Jett if it was in Europe. Jett will own at Ironman. Still feel good about Team USA is Deegz is on the squad. Lets go Haiden! Dont let us down
