Some people/media going crazy about the question from Hopper shows exactly what is so weird and wrong in our sport.. Why must everything in our sport be kept so secretive? Riders swapping teams, injuries, salaries etc. All this kind of stuff is literally normal public information in most of the other sports these days.
Also moto media constantly going at each other is funny as shit, not gonna lie. 😂
I really appreciate media people in our sport leaving their comfort zone and asking questions others are afraid to ask.

Convenient how the Deegans single out one media guy for getting his interviews at the rig, while vital, swap, course heading, racerx and pretty much anyone with a mic has to do the same. Why? Because the promotor doesnt have a post race press tent - its up to the media to track these guys down to give US something to listen too. The press conference is 3 guys.. there's 40 on the track..
The same goes for mcalpine, does he really need to call out steve specifically for his take, when two other media members on the same pod expressed the same opinion?

Yeah I’d 100% rather hear the ~45 minutes of interviews he gets with a bunch of other riders rather than him ask one question at the press conference. Riders ain’t sticking around all day so it’s kind of an either or scenario….
Good journalists in any field ask difficult, pressing questions. That's the whole point really.
It's not just about glazing your favourites and asking obvious bullshit like 'how was the track' and 'what will you be working on this week'. Johnny's question wasn't at all unprofessional. If there's a rumour circulating, it might as well be put to the person in question (or adjacent to). You can gleam more from someone by what they won't say, than what they will.
Hoppers question was fine. AP's answer was fine. Steve saying he likes Hopper but he should have asked Tomac directly was fine.

I much prefer Steve’s and Lewis post races interviews with decent answers , half the time the guys in the press conferences are playing with their phones and with no follow up questions not much is got out of riders there
im pretty neutral BUT one of the only things that could make this better is someone calling out matthes for taking EKS money after RT got a track shut down. would that make him go nuclear?
