January 6 sucked and was an embarrassment on so many levels, but it's just wrong to lump that day in with the standard inner city summer riots of the last few years. I want you to find me a few pictures or videos that depict the worst of the injuries or property damage that occurred on January 6th and we can compare them to what we're seeing today. They are not the same.

I know exactly what neighborhood many of them are from. They’re fuckin snitching on themselves while thinking, they’re really gonna get away with it. For one, I would imagine the gang task forces are watching and, seeing the same thing I am. Then, being shirtless, they’re exposing their tattoos. They’ve already identified their neighborhood. They’ve identified themselves. Top it off with an ankle monitor there’s absolutely no denying who this individual is. Fucking stupid. I hope they do an update in a couple weeks when his shitty project housing gets raided.

Part of the problem is that you have police chiefs and sheriffs who have completely castrated their departments for political reasons and are now politicians, not cops. See Seattle’s “summer of love” where a police precinct was literally handed over to the pieces of shit rioting downtown. Real leadership in big-city police departments has gone the way of the dinosaurs. Rank and file are under orders to “stand and take it” rather than deal with these scumbags. In this case, this is exacerbated by the purposeful orders to not do anything to help ICE.
Oh, and there are now some reports of pallets of cinder blocks/bricks randomly showing up on various street corners near the action. Would sure be neat to trace who paid for/ordered those…
When that happens, the system is broken and someone has to step in to restore order. It’s certainly not how it’s supposed to work, but it’s absolutely necessary.

This “mostly peaceful” bullshit is getting ridiculous. If you go to a protest and someone lights a car on fire, you’re in a riot. You stick around and wave you’re stupid sign and sing your stupid songs, then you’re just the lamest bitch at the riot. You wanna protest? Go home, cause there no protest left. Just a riot.
Think of it this way. You go to a Super Bowl party and before the 1st quarter even ends, someone pours a mountain of cocaine on the coffee table and starts passing out straws. The cops show up in the fourth quarter and you tell them “swear to god, officer, I’m just here to watch the big game!” How’s that going to play out?
Anyone who genuinely cared about peacefully protesting should have gone home the second things got violent. All you’re doing by “peacefully protesting” amidst the chaos of a riot is creating enough of a crowd that identifying and apprehending the fomenters is harder for the police. Any person physically present at a riot—no matter how peaceful he may be—is making it easier for rioters to destroy property and injure people.
Look mate, maybe those things happened, maybe they didn't. I'm just going off what's in the video. If you wanna rationalise cops being trigger happy, then be my guest. At the end of the day it's your country and shit like that is why the rest of the world is turning away from you.
