Long time Kawi guy myself but I think they are behind the curve.
I think that Sexton feels fairly confident that he’s faster than any riders currently the Kawasaki team…….
You and I may also be. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🏻♂️
just the moment before he chrashes himself out 🙄

Sexton and his dad need to look in the mirror and realize they are the problem and not the bikes.
I’m wondering how much KTMs financial situation pushed CS over to green? If he actually ends up at Kawasaki..
I honestly don’t think he is confident he will beat the JETtson on any bike, though. I think he is mentally and morally beat by Jett. Hope I’m wrong.
Especially if his paycheck is up to the courts.
I think we can all agree KTM's financial situation was a huge factor in Chase's decision. Had to be. That being said factory Kawasaki's race team in this country is in disarray. Chase had to leave KTM, no question, they are broke with an Indian influence now in charge. But Kawasaki, while flush with cash, couldn't win monopoly with spare fake dollars. Kawasaki's USA race team is in shambles.
Of course he is. But knowing how particular he is with his bike when the Kawi doesn't perform like his KTM does its going to be a problem. Chase is my guy but the Kawi not being up to his standards will be all it takes to affect him mentally
Probably not, but that's likely not what's driving his decision-making process.
If I were to guess, "what bike he'll be better on" is a secondary concern, at best. Undoubtedly, he's looking to secure the best financial/business outcome for himself - if that happens to align with "what bike he'll be better on" then great, but if not then so be it.
It's blatantly obvious why he is leaving... KTM's financial situation became untenable to Chase. Now, would it be different today after the bailout from Bajaj? I bet it might. But it's too late for that now. I can only wonder if during the negotiations, they offered Chase a "different" contract based on what was going on and he said F-it, I'm out. And now with Bajaj in, Eli got the proper offer...
Indoors the lack of power won’t be an issue. Outdoors is where it’s the major problem.
He knows his wallet will be better...
Or when Prado finally gets more power and comfortable
He knows both Eli and RV were multi time champs on that team, the bike is green and the money is even greener 🤑
Imo... I'd bail on ktm strictly on their financial stability... they are losing 100M per month... haven't showed a penny of profit n a decade... at some point somebody Has to step in and turn the faucet off...
Shocking to me et3 would even consider going there
My gut still says Sexton stays put, and Eli finds a way to race a non-Star factory Yamaha in 2026…and maybe beyond that. Neither of these guys are stupid, nor do they want to potentially waste a whole season by letting Jett take all the gold, while they’re trying to make a new-to-them bike work.
Then again, my gut has been wrong…
Pit Row
Your gut is wrong again. Pretty much confirmed Eli and Chase are moving on..
Where Kawasaki is as a team reminds me of where Yamaha was before Star took over the 450 program.....
I posted an opinion on how slow the 25 KX250 is compared to the Austrian bikes that we are used to, and the pitchforks came out from the green fanboys. Kawi has missed the mark on the engine in both classes. Engineering, testing, and the race teams aren't working smoothly together to improve. With other teams like Triumph and Ducati stepping up, Kawi better get it together. Chase is gonna be bitching about the 450 soon I bet, and for him it'll be a really bad look.
"Chase is gonna be bitching about the 450 soon I bet, and for him it'll be a really bad look"
Is it tho when everyone saw it coming?😅
I don't think Sexton REALLY thought he'd be faster on the KTM, either, when on a Honda he looked about as fast as anyone ever has.
Could very well be. Tons of speculation here and abroad, but where is it “pretty much confirmed”?
AC mentioned in a podcast last week that Eli's deal with RB KTM is done.
Anyone not named Jett....
True and maybe Kawi figures he will win them a supercross championship, which is where the industry puts all the importance behind.
Glad someone else has had this thought. Cooper Webb looked like an absolute 450 bust on those Yamahas early on and now look at him and that program.
But with that being said, Chase still needs to get his mental outlook fixed. It doesn’t matter where he’d be at, as soon as shit gets a little sideways he gets super unpredictable on the bike. And one constant of racing is that shit will get sideways at one point or another.
I like Chase. He’s a phenomenal talent, seems like an absolute class act person too. But he’s a motorcycle set up head case.

Just watch the post race press conference...if you still think it's speculation after that then I'll guess you'll just be surprised in October....
Post a reply to: Does Sexton REALLY think he will be better on Kawasaki ?
