I'm just trying to come up with how he got 9, I'm no mind reader - especially of that one...

Musquin won his class all three motos in MX2

Cairoli won his 2 out of 3 in MX1

Phillipearts won 2 out of 3 in MX3

Paulin won 1 in MX3

Dungey won won in MX1

That is 8 out of 9....GP

I hope someone has a big fridge to store all the crow that may have to get chowed down after the race. There are good teams coming and lady luck is a fickle mistress from year to year.
I was just thinking of this last night as I was shaping a few jump faces on my track.

You just never know in motocross. Anything can happen and I have seen so many people around here not even give the notion that we may lose. It can happen!

I was pulling for canard as he was the underdog however I am also a fan of 377, and never thought he would not be able to wrap it up. The point is, ANYTHING can happen. Weather, mechanicals, crashes; riding tight.........that’s what I love about this messy sport!

Good luck to our guys, as well as anyone coming over, and I hope they all stay safe and ride to the best of their abilities..........and more importantly, that we come out on top.

This thread could create some seriously bad karma for the USA.

Italy and France are badasses.

If we lose, I'm blaming MXR.

ha ha .. Italy not so much this year as a team.. Cairoli yea ... France and Belgium should be the threats as a team... but I still think USA could not win a moto and still win due to consistency. Don't discount Germany or GB...for a podium threat either... Aussi have a solid top 5 team too.

We could run off at the mouth from now till the race and the scales of
bad karma would still be tilted against the GP guys because of a certain poster on this board who I will not name but his screen name is MXGeoff! lol!

What? GP riders completely invented that excuse, it's actually believable in this situation though.

Your "hater" shit didn't take long to get very old on here, did it.

The U.S. is the overwelming favorite this year, obviously. Very strong team plus the home crowd, plus track familiarity. I'd definitely be putting my money on them.

Having said that, to start gloating about Euro riders making excuses BEFORE the race is even run is not good at all. Gloating in general is not a good trait but to do it before the race is a bit unseemly. If luck turns against us the gloaters would look pretty dumb.

How about if we just say, "We've got a great team and the home track advantage so I really like our chances this year" and let the racers race.

If we win, you can gloat then.

pilotdude... this is all just good fun man, just throwing a few friendly jabs. I think most of us are thrilled that this race is in the USA this year and truly appreciate all the great riders that will be riding whether they talk funny or not Wink

Britain would probably have won in 1985 if Kurt Nicoll hadn't broken his leg in practice.
Anyway we whooped Team USA in 1994 at Roggenburg Switzerland.

What would be excuses by all american fans in case Musquin/Roczen would smoke Canard, or if Cairoli with the 350 would beat Dungey?

#10 We have, and we will always have the best riders. LOL.

#9 Our best top riders are out... (Bubba Who? Villopoto? We will see next year)

#8 Ricky Carmichael got retired, he was the best.

#7 Villopoto was the best on the 250.

#6 Dungey/Canard was clearly faster than him, tough.

#5 Bad Luck.

#4 We won, who cares? American riders are of course the best. Ahahah

#3 - If Germany, France or Belgium would win - Canard and Short were riding a Honda ahahah

#2 - work in progress... -

Ah Musquin,
those are all very legitimate American excuses :-) We Americans will certainly make excuses if we don't win. That is human nature. If the Euros are trying to imply that they will not make excuses if they don't win they are lying to themselves and to us. The problem that I have is the underlying anti-U.S. vitriol contained in most of the euro posts. We can poke fun at each other in a good natured way without it always having to turn ugly. The American riders respect the GP riders and vice versa so why do we (armchair quarterbacks) fight with each other over it? Pointless.

Without JS, J-Law and euro vs USA this place would be dead silence. OK, a couple of 2strokes vs 4strokes posts, but that`s it.

Fast Eddy, you sir are 100% correct. I just wish that everyone would understand that we're all fans of the same sport. Unlike the ball and stick sports, MX is a very small and unrecognized sport and a little solidarity would be refreshing.
