Is the bike really that bad or is he just in such a panic he doesn't even know what to say? How can a factory Kawi be THAT bad? Goes to show how much different MXGP AMA are. For years everyone said Americans suck at Moto solely based on MXDN results.Our guys over here are pretty badass.

I know, I was being a smart ass. I don't think his results are bottlenecked by his bike, though he has been pretty much saying as much lately. I just don't buy it.
He has so many challenges to deal with, i mean this is a major disruption moving from his team in Europe to the Kawa in the US.
I'll give him a mulligan this year.

He finished 5th in the most recent moto. He is a 4x World Champion. He just qualified 10th at Thunder Valley.
Like I said in the practice forum:
I was shocked to see that lap where he was clearly going slow waiting for a clear lap ended up being 16th?! We only saw the start of his fastest lap, so hopefully it looked better..
He should be up there with AP7, JCoop, and Hunta at the minimum and he isn’t. I thought he’d be doing better than he is at the moment, and it seems a lot of other people did as well if this is the response his results are getting.
They didn't show much of him but I noticed Prado trying to clear that awkward triple in the middle and coming up well short... If he feels the bike is underpowered (or at least not set-up in a way suited for his style) then he's going to feel it most of all today. Don't think I'm going out on too much of a limb for suspecting that this'll probably be another very difficult weekend, though of course I hope I'm wrong.

I'm right there with you. There's a handful of reasons why he's not out running up front at the moment. I just don't believe the bike not being good enough is one of them.
You realize this thread was created after Q1 when he was in 42nd? Before Q2 happened. You can't come in after the fact and go "You guys are retarded for asking why he was outside the top 40 in Q1. He ended up 10th in Q2."
Maybe he crashed in Q1 and got hurt, maybe his had bike issues? This is the second thread on the front page where people come in after the OP asks a question that wasn't answered at the time with "you guys are retards/fake news/missing facts." Does nobody look at the times things are posted or what?

I personally saw him smoke Eli on a 250 at Red Bud. Yeah, yeah, mud race, Euro prep. He's a top rider. He'll get it sorted out. The adjustment to the National schedule has obviously been a bigger hurdle than expected
