Thank you for these. Are the gp works bikes, substantially better, than the ones here?

I wouldn’t say substantially better, in the GP’s there is no production rule so teams will use more exotic parts, next year’s bikes, different frames, swing arms. That’s why you see the Ducati’s at the GP’s because they don’t have to sell so many units to race.

works bikes are mostly the same. just a tad difference, since they are not bound to certain rules. the other teams just choose different parts and suppliers, which creates an unique look sometimes.

EDIT: just what Muscle-Milk-KTM says

Loc, did you happen to get any pics of the KTM fork caps? Those forks look like cone valve uppers with lugs closer to an AER48. By the way, great stuff, thanks for sharing.

it's only a 2 1/2 hour drive to Loket / Karlsbad, but schedule is tight in July. let's see what I can do 😀

Interesting location for mounting the hour meter on the Fantic 125. Looks janky unless there is a reason to have it mounted above the reed cage?

I wasn't paying much attention to this, but it looked like KYB inserts

I noticed that too. they fabricated an extra mounting bracket, that's attached to the reed cage/intake manifold bolts. it's not acting as reed block spacer or something, so I assume the solely purpose of this is hold the hour meter in place.

Separate hour meter for each engine - simplify engine changes - old engine out with hour meter and new engine in with hour meter
