Pretty impressive start to the series for Jo. He has really improved and is keeping himself in contention. Last year, his moto finishes at the first two rounds were 8-6-7-5.

I thought Chance would be the bigger threat between the Honda guys, but Jo has stepped up big time.

Jo's MO as always been slow starts to the season and coming on late in the year. At least that's how it has always seemed to me. He certainly hasnt put a dent in the Deegan freight train but he's handled everyone else. Great start for Jo.

Yeah its only a couple races but Chance has been underwhelming. Especially when he's gotten really good starts. And quite a few people said he was really prepping hard for mx. Even during sx, when he should have been concentrating on sx. That's how AC framed it on his podcast.

Yaa definitely not was I was expecting outta Jo, I thought we’d see him in 6-7th a lot.

I just want to see him get one start and see what he does with it. His starts really are what they are and they're always going to hold him back when he doesnt have overwhelming top end speed. Has anyone with his track record of mediocre starts ever drastically improved them before?

Yeah I didn't expect Jo to be this good also. Hopefully he can keep it up the rest of MX and into SMX. Meanwhile Hymas is choking like he did at Lorettas

0% chance he returns to Honda after that Pulp interview?

Hymas had food poisoning during the week leading up to Hangtown and 'm really surprised he lined up for moto1 given the Temps on Saturday. That could have gone real bad for him.

People seem to forget that Jo has won national races against Jett, Hunter and JCoop.
He’s just had a rough run with team changes and injuries. Great to see him back in form and hope to see him win again real soon.

What's going on with the 250 class? Food poisoning and various illnesses abound. Masterpool was sick at Pala yet still sick at Hangtown. What hangs with you for 7 days?

It definitely seemed like he wasn’t going back to Honda based on that interview

Funniest thing I heard was that he threw up after the race, but being from a pretty buttoned up polite culture instead of just blowing chunks off the side of his bike he pulled over to a porta john and threw up in there. The grossest place in the world to throw up and he chose that place.

He’ll be a championship contender in 2026 if the bike change doesn’t set him back…

Jo has to run it up the inside of Deegan. Until he does, he’s nothing

In my early 20's i was a union tuck pointer and on a large job site we had around 20 johns lined up.  When they were replaced with new ones the homeless would take ciggarette butts and dip them in the blue drink and smoke it to get high. Wild stuff

Thank you!

I would agree that it didn't sounds like he was locked in at Honda, but I wouldn't say 0%.

I found his remarks about Mirtl to be a little more interesting. I would have thought he would be talking to the Lawrence Bros all the time.  Some of his language made me think he doesn't interact much with them anymore.  Maybe Honda making Chance kind "the 250 guy" isn't siting well with Joe...?

In 2022, Jo finished 3rd or better in 14 of the last 16 motos, winning 5 motos along the way.

If he goes back to PC, hopefully he’s comfy enough to keep this up. With Deegan and Vialle gone next year, Jo could potentially be the favorite heading into next year.

I think he looks a little more grown up this year. He looked like he could barely hold on last year and now he looks like he's in charge of that bike. Very impressed with the JoShow.
