There's adapting and there's getting 40 seconds put on your head by 4 riders, none of whom have rode 'exceptionally'. Jett is Jett but this is an ordinary Jett ride not some 15 hangtown Tomac shit

Possibly a hot take but while Prado's great and a 2X MXGP champ, I never felt like he had the raw speed of a young Cairoli or Herlings tbh. An incredible talent but not generational on their level imo

He wins by getting great starts, putting in consistently strong laps, and not riding over his head. When he isn't feeling it, he rarely pushes and risks a wreck, and he's never been massively comfortable pushing outside of his comfort zone. Personally I don't think I'll make my mind up on how he's doing until about the midway point of the season when he begins to find his comfort zone. I imagine he'll do better on tracks like Unadilla, Washougal, Southwick, Ironman

I think fair enough to say he's a little off those 2. They probably make up the top 3 all time euros with Everts. But I do think he is the talent of his generation in MXGP. An elite professional at the front of the field basically right out the gate

Yeah for sure. I don't think it's an insult to say someone's just a tiny bit off two of the best to ever do it.

But yeah, he's going up against a stacked field, including probably the fastest kid on the planet, in a completely new series, on a new bike, coming back from injury, and he's never been amazing at riding out of his comfort zone (2024 MXDN for example, he wasn't competitive at all).I still think he'll come good and be a podium guy at some point this year, and a threat for moto wins next year

Wild. The Nationals are that much of a culture shock from MXGP?!

Did you watch MXGP last year? Or when he just got into the 450s class he was probably the fastest guy out there before getting covid, which was a huge setback. Last year he was the fastest MXGP rider we have seen since Herlings 2018 imo. Last year he literally came from behind multiple times and then dropped everyone. But it's a new challenge now, specially with a new bike, that's for sure

Chase gives the vibe he hates his bike. I’ve never seen Someone hate a bike as much as chase seems to hate his ktm. Anyone else get that vibe?

Chase is in a hole, Eli is in a good place. A better start and he's giving JCoop and Jett headaches.

Like I said, he's incredible. I just think he's a few % off of peak Cairoli and Herlings, even at his best, and that he isn't the sort of guy to risk eating shit and ruining his season if he isn't comfortable in the first moto of the season. Again, I still think he's a podium guy by the midway point of the season

Yes, people think he because was winning supercross that he was gelling well with the bike and would be crazy to leave, when it was obvious he was never happy with it and was just that much better than the competition.

When’s the last time he was happy with a bike though? Seems like he’s always chasing a setting

Questions are, will Sexton be out for the summer and if he's not, how high up the standings can he climb?

I kinda stand by my statement earlier in wondering if Chase is mentally fucked. Now I’m no doctor but I feel like I’ve seen Chase eat shit way harder than that and keep going. I think he’s over that Ktm and just doesn’t think he can hang with Jett for a whole season

Fuck...well Chase just made the perfect example of that whole "Can't win a championship rd 1 but can certainly lose it" they mentioned multiple times before main show.
