Anybody Know What The Term "86'd" Means?

So is the general consensus 86 means to get rid of something, or to kill something

When I worked in restaurants, you'd say "86" when you ran out of something. I think it has various meanings, but the former director of the FBI should know better, especially when two people have taken shots at Trump. 

86ed means killed. Everyone said it in school, rap songs, gangster lingo. "86 his ass Cyclops,  86ed straight through the temple in broad daylight, lullaby mf" very common term growing up. So many rap songs use it.

We’re talking about a supposed career LEO who answered “I don’t recall” to an outlandish number of questions when he was on the hot seat in congress awhile back. LEOs will forget their anniversary, their spouse’s birthday, but they can remember a crook’s full name and DOB from an arrest, and details of a case from 20 years ago, particularly cases as big as the stuff he was being grilled about. Even without all that, I saw all I needed to see from him when he stood up and said they would not be recommending charges for Hillary, but that the amount of evidence could absolutely support a charge for someone else (ie us peasants).

The actual meaning of "86'd" doesn't mean dick. What matters is how it's interpreted by some smooth brain who thinks defacing a privately owned Tesla is somehow hurting Elon Musk...

I've literally only ever heard this in the context of getting kicked out or banned from an establishment.
