Watched the latest Cooksey video (I know I shouldn't) he talks about a few interesting things:
1. Video of Jett that's been leaked to TMZ that could bring a lot of bad press on him, and the sport. Anyone know anything about this coz he says it's really not good and if it is bad enough to affect the whole sport then what the F could it be...
2. The Lawrence's treatment of Jo Shimoda and calling him Sushi for a nickname? I always thought they were great friends and the name Sushi came from friendly banter and given to him in nothing but a light hearted joking way to show friendship. Do the Lawrence's now not like Shimoda coz that's news to me.
3. Accusation of Cooksey stating Dazzy Lawrence punched Jett before a main event? Sounds untrue to me and a long way from the Dazzy Lawrence we all have come to love.
And I completely understand that Cooksey has got a whole lot of stuff very wrong, but on occasions he's said things and they've proven to have merit in the long run, so I'm a little torn on which way to go with this one....

I dont think Jo minds the nickname.
I didn't care for the guy before but he did get the scoop at times. Recently (past year) I can't stand listening to him period. All he does is bash Ricky bash the Lawrence's and tell us how great deegan is. As far as the dazzy/jett incident he claims it happened when jett was on one of cookseys good friends and supporters teams (geico honda). So if he is telling the truth about that I have a really good idea who he got that info from.

well, I watched it as well ( l like him) and he repeats over and over "This video is coming out no matter what and it's gonna wreck Jett" (paraphrasing).
Ok, then someone start the timer. Let's give him 6 months. If no video, let's crucify the guy. Until then, he's not WRONG yet as he says it's coming sooooooon..........

Scary that people find a way to believe sources of….cant call it information so I guess just “media” that is this out of touch with reality. It’s telling for how the country and society have stepped out as far as we have.

Well…we saw how people piled onto a certain family this year for filing against someone who stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from them. Unfortunately people draw conclusions off of emotion rather than fact as proven by his video viewers. I’m sure no rider wants to put a target on their back or feed into his delusion by calling him out.
The Sushi nickname is not the problem, its how they are treating Joe since the Mertl incident.
I witnessed Dazzy slapping Jett pretty hard in the head one time on press day because Jett wasn’t taking something seriously, it kinda shocked me how hard it was. But I think most dads in that situation might of done something similar.
Does this guy understand The Lawrence family has the money to absolutely fucking decimate you in court?

Every conspiracy theory starts from a semblance of truth.
From there the conspirator messages that truth to get the outcome they want.
That isn’t true at all. Especially in the world of the internet and clickbait. Kookey can literally say whatever he wants. Or blow something extremely far out of proportion. For example, what if it’s something so stupid as Jett smoking weed? Would most of us care? Absolutely not. Could Kookey blow it out of proportion and run with it? Absolutely.
I'm not a Cooksey fan but I do have integrity and call out hypocrisy and falsehoods.
Having said that, Chris has been more right than wrong...

It's because the guy is just smart enough to be right when he says some of the stuff that could get him in trouble.
Your not the only one who's around the sport regularly ive heard mention dazzy whacking the kid. But to be fair its not like we don't see that at the local tracks with local kids either.
Saw a kid get whacked upside the head a few weeks ago for getting wrecked in a late modle dirt track race. I get its probably 4-8k in damage but not his fault.

More right than wrong can mean out of 100 things he says, 49 are false. Some people are not only good with that they give him credit. I don't get it, but I'm not one of those people.
I think his batting average is substantially lower than you think. It’s the same correlation people draw with Alex Jones, they throw out 1,000 conspiracies and 1 turns out to be true.
I think it’s easy to see he skews things to favor his narratives. Like when he said the Lawrence’s banned Deegan and Anderson from racing AusX. When ML dug into it, it turned out Anderson said he never planned on going and was just stirring the pot on social media and that the Deegans wanted a 6-figure appearance fee at the final hour and they said they didn’t want to pay that since the event was practically already sold out. Or basically any of his coverage on the Mirtl case
Libel suits are very expensive, you have to prove actual damages and then collect, and you can't recover attorney fees even if you win. That's why.
The guy is an absolute clown show.
I gather from the downvotes I did not express myself well. In no way do I support Cooksey.
Maybe a better way to say what I said is he spins the truth to create drama.
Anyways...can't wait to see the TMZ video of Jett snorting coke off Lady Gaga's ga ga whilst coated in baby oil. 🙃
