Most riders don't because of their ego. Ricky Carmichael always did though. When someone with a big ego (not just pourcel) always put the blame somewhere else, the track, bike, set-up, etc. it takes the focus off of improving themselves. Ricky was always honest with himself and admitted when other riders rode better. I think his honesty with himself was a good thing, because when a rider is not putting the blame somewhere else, they focus on improving themselves.

I dunno if that made sense, but it's just something I've thought about, and it seems applicable in everyday life, not just racing.

That was a totally awesome moto, dude. Christophe Pourcel and Trey Canard rode their asses off and ripped it on that track! What a badass moto that was, I can't wait for the second moto so we can see a battle. Shit. This title is going to go down to the wire and now that Pourcel is pissed off, we are going to see some fire.

He said something about the throttle on the podium, he might have been expressing displeasure with the bike.

Either way, Canard is still under a lot of pressure - he really needs to beat Pourcel again next moto. He's 10 points down now, he really needs to be in single digits before the next round. If Pourcel beats him next moto, Canard is going to go to Pala 12+ down, and that's a lot to make up in two motos unless something happens to Pourcel.

Well, CP is my hero so I'm open for excuses! Smile But... Trey was obviously the faster rider this moto and sure he has nothing to loose and he must win, but nevertheless, VERY impressive ride from Trey.

Christophe seems to be the complete package...if he says there was something wrong on the bike...I tend to believe it. I watched it and it wasn't only CP who wasn't looking at TC...it was most def mutual. These guys are at WAR.

Although the highlight of the moto was certainly the battle between Canard and Pourcel, I would also like to give a shout out to Nico Izzi for a good ride.

I hope he can turn in another good moto and get a good overall result, it would certainly be a 180 degree turn from being benched earlier this season. I hope he is doing good.

Its weird eh? From watching the Transworld Shadow video it sounds like some rednecks give him a really hard time. Was quite a revealing video. Its not like Metlcalfe or Townley got booed!

If that was his beef, he has nothing to complain about - they gave Canard a harder time than Pourcel had. The leader usually has a harder time with lappers anyway.

Interesting. After watching Canard's body language and Pourcel's, I don't think Pourcel was fingering Canard.

Fast Eddy, maybe you are right in that it was some fans giving him a hard time so he gave them the bird. That, or he was gesturing towards some lappers crossing the line who held him up.

Maybe it was lappers he was telling off, that also makes sense.

the fuckers booing - they aren't moto fans.

real moto fans would not boo someone like Pourcel. Especially knowing what he's had to overcome to get to this point.
