It was definitely a bit overboard but...at least he's not another robot. Which is why I like Cooper Webb, too. Davies did the right thing, very classy.

Can't deny Deagan's bike skills.

We live in a woke DEI culture trhat sucks. Fan's booing Deegan were on the rag sensitive. Cole put. himself outside of deegan in practice and went over the berm and obviously failed to learn his lesson in the main. Be honest, you would do the same or worse for an AMA #! SX Plate and $550k - a million dollars

Go DNGR!

Personally I believe Davies would have done exactly the same the positions been reversed.

Hell I know I would.

The snow flakes on here that are offended would have been ecstatic if the roles were reversed and Davies baby bumped Deegs off the track and took the title. Deegan Derangement Syndrome is very real. Also, the guys on here that are enraged by Deegan’s lack of “class” are posting the most classless comments on Vital. Isn’t that rich? They’re total hypocrites.

Davies looked fast tonight but it seems Deegan can reel any rider in towards the end of the race. Davies just makes too many youthful mistakes. You can’t leave the door open like that especially when there is a absolute Dawg like Deegan coming for blood. The Championship is on the line, why take the outside line when Danger is hunting you down??? Deegan was going to make that pass one way or another. Cole faded when the lights got too bright and he ran out of gas at the end… Once Deegan shut the door, you check up instead of sending yourself over the blocks. That was a clean pass obviously since the AMA didn’t have any issue. People booing never raced a lap in their lives... I love Davies class. He took the high road when interviewed. He knew he made a mistake... Davies knows he and Deegan own the sport well into the future. Those two are the future. With that said, Deegan is a Dawg. Fastest 250 rider by far… Motocross too. Nobody can touch that kid. He’s cocky and he backs it up. Kids 19 and has every championship in 250.

At 19, he ain't a kid, he's an adult. Immature at that.

If Davies even showed a percentage of fan favorable as Deegan does Is laughable.

Deegan literally has a bigger following than Jett, Eli or roczen that’s statistics and facts.

Deegan vs Jett is the future all these rookie 250 boys can just dream about it.

Deegan said I am him! You accumulate haters when your on top!

Davies left the door open, davies got caught by 4 seconds back, he will learn from this. Pass was fine, JS7, CR22, and Zach Osborne and more people have made far worse passes than this. I’m a huge deegan fan, but the podium interview was so cringey. Congrats on the title though.

technically speaking I would expect for him to have a bigger following than everybody due to his generation & the social media era tht we are in , him & Jett going to have the biggest fanbases for yrs to come cause they both goona have the core moto crowd & the social media casual & darlings

Just want to add that the bravery and courage that Haiden showed in Denver should be acknowledged and respected. He had very little to gain in the championship, and to put it all on the line like that just to prove that he is the fastest should really count for a lot more than a podium speech. He’s a legend in the making. And a highlight machine. He will die to win. Salud.

I am a Deegan fan, however at both championship presentations last night, Haiden would not look the presenters in the eyes. He also did not Thank either AMA official after receiving the #1 plate, nor the Trophy. Says a lot about his upbringing. Never came close to ever winning a local championship as a youngster, but had I acted like Haiden, my Dad would have cuffed me upside the head for sure.

I have no problem with the outcome of the ”pass” since Cole should have realized that the corner was lost. Can even see that Haiden was a bit surprised by the contact and leading up to that, Haiden had rode super clean and being sure to not make any contact.

That being said, Haiden once again shows his true colors acting like the little brat he is. He could just have apologized on the camera for the takeout, said it was a race incident and not intentional and people would had a different opinion about him now.

Instead he has to go full retard as always with Brian’s shit eating grin in the background cheering him on.

Davies seem to fade from a fitness POV.  I wonder if maybe the altitude had anything to do with it?

He’s 17 years old and simply don’t have the same training hours in his body as the older riders he race against.

Look at cross country skiers, they improve their stamina all the way to their 30’s. It’s not realistic to expect a teen to have full fitness yet. And who knows, maybe he got stressed/pumped up from all the lappers that screwed him over.

As an old fart, I find Deegs to be difficult to cheer for.... Great rider. Anyone can see the speed and intensity. It's obvious. As is the lack of character.

It’s not the bump rubbings racing… I have no issue with the racing it’s just when he opens his mouth tells the fans to suck it! Not a guy I’d want my kids to look up to.

I wasn't expecting him to be a veteran at 17; I realize he's new to the pro ranks.  Just commenting on what I interpreted might have happened to him.  I think he did a great job and learned a valuable lesson after turning a podium into a 5th.  It'll help him next year.

I am genuinely shocked by the reaction. Deegan came from behind and caught Davies. Davies left a door open in a turn wide enough for me to drive my pickup through. Any racer (remember Osborne/Savatgy) would have done what Deegan did. A fortune was on the line. And to tell the stadium to "suck it" when they booed him is something many wish they had the stones to do at one time or another to somebody or thing with authority that pissed them off. Sticks and stones people, these are teenagers, racing for millions, representing multi-billion-dollar international corporations, literally risking their lives every week traveling from city to city across a continent, before millions of viewers, this is not the area softball championship for St. Stan's high school. What these kids do on a weekly basis is potentially life changing every time they are on the track, ask Jerry Robin.

Agreed. You might have some black SUV’s pulling up outside your residence after the wording of this though.

The bump on 100 was garden variety for SX & secured a win, not much to see there.

The aftermath was a display of two very different versions of parenting.
