He may not like his suspension, but every podcast and moto ‘expert’ was saying how the Kawi looks near the best bike on track early in the season.

Will be interesting when it does all come out.

I can see him being salty about Chase. First AC was Kawasaki's golden boy, then Prado - who will wash out at SX, despite outdoors results, now Chase supposedly. We all know by now how this works out too, things that Anderson requested, needed, or wanted to succeed he was denied and the other three I mentioned were granted, whether real or not, for some reason adds to the resentment. We have seen this before in this sport, most recently Chase getting the suspension that Webb wanted all along. At the level all these riders are at now, where it is not uncommon for top ten qualifiers all within one second, little things matter. On a recent podcast AC stated he made 1.2 million his final season, despite knowing his lingering on going injuries making it hard to practice, develop the bike, or get good results. I can see how this would piss off JA, carrying the load for the team, while a rider not capable of helping is making 100K a month. I could see how Chase would be the last straw. That being said, costing yourself 100s of thousands of dollars by taking your ball and going home while under contract seems impulsive to me.

Isn't he known to be pretty stingey with his money? And I may be mis-informed but maybe has a couple investments/houses? Maybe he has built that F-You money and said F-It and bounced?

Yes. JA is actually very well versed in finances from what I’ve heard, like was buying/flipping small houses when he was just turning pro and started making money, and now I believe he has a handful of investment properties. I remember hearing he was so frugal that he didn’t even own a car when he lived in FL training with Aldon.

AC said he was making $1.8M

Not logical. Kawi would want BOTH of them to win (or do well) right? It's a factory team, they have the personnel, budget, and resources.

Obviously not if only one guy was getting the good stuff. You hear this all the time, I’m pretty sure Deegans bike is better then the rest of the star bikes. Mike Brown, Hamblin, Mills, and JLaw all fought over one set of factory suspension in their Rockstsr bills pipes Suzuki team. Pretty sure on Bubbas podcast he had with RC, Suzuki was only giving a factory transmission to either James or the RCH team I believe. Shoot Kenny’s Suzukis only order and they barely gave him a factory transmission this year lol

If what Cooksey says in the video is true 1) the “family emergency” was not true which is a terrible thing to lie about and 2) if he’s training so hard, who is he training with and where is he training?  Training without Kawi team or bike?  Not likely.  The whole situation is bizarre.  I hope he and his family are okay.

I thought that he was a Troll Training athlete?

The star guys are on the same equipment, and have the same access to parts and setup.  The rockstar team had budgetary issues, looked the part, but did lack on equipment.  Lots of dnf's  Some of those riders aside from brownie were full on bro mode too.

Totally off the thread subject, but ain't it a bitch that Lawrence made that and had to start a GoFundMe recently when his bike got stolen? Never ceases to amaze me...

JLaw was one of the most generous racers ever when it came to helping out people in need. Shit on his antics all you want, but the dude went above and beyond for a good number of causes.

Now back to Jason Anderson. Whatever is going on I hope he takes this time to rest and get back to being the badass he is on a dirtbike asap.

Was never a fan so im certainly not a JLaw apologist. But I'm sure he sunk some serious money into that team he was funding at the end of his career. Wasn't just him on the team either. I remember Nick Wey was on it

He also stiffed his mechanic with a bill on a rental car after he rolled it.

Lets not paint him as a saint.

I root for Anderson and love to see him race when he is ‘on’.

But I don’t think that I could ever understand what his psyche is at any point or understand his motivations.

When he talked about how he resented his SX Championship, it seemed a little bit bizarre. People aren’t generally motivated to repeat things that they resent, so in my mind anyone who hires him should know that a title isn’t as motivating as you’d hope.

Like I said, I’m still happy to see him ride well and I’d like to see him do that more often, but based on his own words his motivation is enigmatic.

He seems to have the general attitude/vibe of an actor or musician rather than a competitive athlete. Definitely one of the more "alternative" guys in the sport.

Langston was on it as well in 2010. I thought YOT didn’t pay JLaw for his title and he got the semi with bikes and parts for the next year? Could be wrong. Scott Specovik (spelling) said he got JLaw big money deals with Monster, ONE, AM/PM, and boost mobile which probably funded the team pretty well.

My mistake, he probably got that a few years down the road. The early days of Team Fried he was riding with some one driving a smaller white truck all the time and referenced multiple times he had no car in FL.

bro we should all kno , yes he was mad as fuck cause if he wasent , he would’ve stayed on kawi a lil longer or with this current situation, him going back to kawi would be a option instead of every moto media outlet completely shutting tht shit down like there’s no way in hell Eli goes back to kawi

I still don't get it. He goes all the way out to Seattle, walks the track, then suddenly says "eff it, I'm done for the season".  🤨

Did someone walk up to him during track walk and say "oh hey, you're off the team next year" ?

Anyway, I hope he's doing alright.

jeez, as the world turns. So he flew to the race, did the track walk, SOMETHING HAPPENS, and he vanishes for a month only to return to national testing with the very team he's supposedly pissed at. My head hurts.
