There is another one of Herlings that I can never find. It's a slowed down video of him going through a turn hitting a little bump, jumping, and continuing to destroy the turn in the air and when he lands.

That one always sticks out to me. Maybe someone here knows the one I'm talking about and can find the video.

I know exactly what you’re talking about, and have no idea how to find it after looking for the last 5 minutes or so, lol

That's what I'm saying! It's almost painful to have the memory, with no video to re-watch lol.

Tomac at Millville, moto 2, 2018. He was battling with Marv, and was right behind him heading into the right handed corner right before Mount Martin. Marv took the inside rut, and Tomac went outside, railed the berm, and as they exited, Marv cut across to take Tomac's line away, but Tomac bounced off the edge of the berm at the exit and crossed up Marv to make the pass. It literally looked like he engaged Nitrous.

Jeff Emig-753x411

I thought I read that he didn't make it out of that corner, or was it a different one?

Love this  - brings back a flood of memories - fabric fencing/close to the action/no one wore a shirt in the 70s /we were all rack thin - one guy holding a baby at the exit of a high speed turn - they'd toss his ass in jail today.  I'm glad I lived when I did.  (Old guy thinking)

Back on topic - Smith carried speed in the corners, and everywhere.

bradshaw, shougal.

I came here to say this

4/18/2025 8:05am

Someone beat me to J-Law 2009 St. Louis, but another low hanging fruit is 2013 250 moto. It felt like every corner Eli hit that day was the best corner of all time.

I can’t remember if tht was the track or not , all I remember was Jeffery coming into the corner , banked off the corner & scrubed the braking bump & it had a slo mo edit effect during majority of tht sequence

It’s not the one where he scrubbed the berm at Loket after the finish line?

I bought a pair of those boots because Rc was wearing them.  Not terrible , but fell apart quickly.

What a picture.

On the other hand, I just remembered this corner by Kenny at Millville in 2016 on Marv. Thing of beauty (@4:30)

That entire first lap is incredible. No one stood a chance that day.

I can't find the clip, but at Unadilla a couple years ago Kenny crossed like 3 big ruts to pass Webb on the inside, anyone else remember that?
