Nalley was amazing. Y’all really need to get him to move to Georgia to complete your three wheeler into a four wheeler.
Wasn’t there a dentist that won a few 500 cc USGP’s at Carlsbad back in the 70’s.
Wolsenk
Yep Gerrit Wolsink the Dutch Dentist Team Suzuki. As a kid I was rooting for Roger of course , but that Wolsink guy was beating him at Carlsbad.

We are gonna get him in studio for sure, especially when we get #762 on.
Zinger after zinger. Did not hold back his feelings. The story about team manager sleeping in his rented beamer was good.
Buddy of my brother worked in a dental lab in town that made dentures, etc back in the day.
Very handy with grinding tools and was known to go in after hours and do cylinder work for low $.
Story was that his manager was aware but the guy was pretty good at his day job so they just turned a blind eye to the after hours activities
Steve Weidler?
Correct!
Must say I’m not that surprised. If you’ve ever seen dentistry rotary tools, you’ll know they’re perfect for porting.
Dirtman and MX Kied are a winning combination...
First name I thought. Weidler Dynamics.
Mike Kiedrowski also cheated on his economic tests in high school. I know this because I sat next to him and cheated also. His girlfriend Wendy at the time would get us the answers. lol.
Was he a pretty cool dude? I’ve always liked him and he was very nice the one time I met him at a race.
He’s still a really good dude
The MXKied! Dude flew on a bike!
I used dentist tools to equal out the transfer ports on a couple of CR250's. I read a book on porting that mentioned how important it was for the port heights to be equal and that something like 75% of the cylinder filing happened in the first 25% of opening so it made sense to me to blue up the inside of the cylinder and scribe a line equal to the lowest port and even them up. I really didn't take much stock and didn't change the size and it took forever but if it didn't add a bunch of horsepower my mind made it seem that it did. lol I also changed the height of the exhaust port with a regular grinding tool, so it was a beast off the bottom.

In 1993 I was given Mike Kiedrowski's (No.3)KX250 clutch set after Saturday practice. Millville pro national. The steal plates were dimpled, OEM were smooth aluminum. Barnet clutch kits offered steal dimpled plates a phew years later. Cool tech that was not available to public yet.
Steel > Steal 😛
Ha, I wrote that way for Davistld01. Yea I wrote Wolsenk wrong my fault just playing. I coned and will sit in the corner. thanks
He was given the fibers; he had to steal the steel plates.
Yeah, man. I bit. I'll be in corner #2. 😏
I saw mxchamp on a license plate in Ventura years ago 2015ish and I look over and it’s Mike kiedrowski, made an ass of myself honking and giving him the thumbs up, I was so stoked
*MXKIED
I see his wife driving around town every so often and will see Mike every once in a while. He would come into the shop I worked at quite often and like you said, still a really good dude.
I think it was 93, my dad ran into him at a gas station and chatted with Mike for a few minutes about moto. Mike grabbed a photo from his truck and signed it for my dad to give to me. Still have it!
They live near me, he is a low profile guy and a down to earth dude. Kim (Kiedrowski) is Beth Wageman’s niece, if you weren’t aware. Healy introduced Mike to her almost 20 years ago. Her and Beth work together at Wolf Creek
He was my dentist back in the day.
That's how I met Mike and Kim. I worked for Russ for 4 years. RJ and Robbie are like the little brothers I never had haha.
Post a reply to: A dentist ported a cylinder for Mike Kiedrowski, and he won!
