Boston mudder this weekend?

Looking at the forecast, it looks like we might be in for a bit of a mudder in Boston. Rain in the forecast for Saturday pretty much all in the evening, so I'm not sure how much they can do to prep for that if it does decide to rain the entire evening. My family is flying up for this one from Florida, so not looking forward to cold rain, but it may certainly make for some interesting racing!

Yeah, doesn't look good. Weather is easy to predict in New England so they probably wont be wrong.

Ha! I knew that response would come. However, near a 1/2 inch in a fairly short period of time in a place with an almost impervious base could make things very sloppy in short order.

I expect a lot of mud during these east coast rounds, could shake things up. Roczen could be sitting in the catbird's wheelbarrow.

These next couple of rounds are going to be shit shows. Spring, open stadiums, NE weather, excellent idea Feld!

If we have learning anything the last several years is that it can rain for days leading up to a SX, but if it stops by Noonish on race day, the track will be fine. Its Tuesday and the forecast doesn't look good for Saturday night. Forecast is a lot more dependable one or two days out. We will see.

40 degrees and raining, it's gonna be a tough night for everyone in the stadium.

Yeah. Honestly kind of regretting buying tickets, Airbnb, flights, etc. months ago lol. Our family tradition is to go to an out of state race one a season. Philly last year was amazing.

But hey, we’ll make the best of it.

I know people are sick of talking about mudders after last week. However, the forecast held true last week and it was a great race because they got the track built and covered to shield the rain. This forecast for Boston doesn’t look good for the entire race schedule. Can’t cover the track on Saturday when it’s supposed to be raining. I’m expecting a mudder for this one.

Get some good rain ponchos, dress warm, have gloves and have a good time with it!

Spring in New England, why not have a supercross? I live in Mass and I’ll enjoy the race from my warm, dry, couch

I hate being cold...  Bought a heated vest a few years back, lots more available now.  I would gear up for this, long sleeve tee, heated vest, heavy shirt (sweatshirt or hoodie) and a heavy coat with a poncho (we use Frogg Toggs) on top and flannel lined jeans...  Yeah, I hate being cold.

This sure looks like it's going to be a wet one.

For all the calls for Biblical weather so far this has been a very dry season.. Seattle track was amazing after all the rain they got during the week...

Agreed. The only difference is the track crew can't do too much "protecting" of the track when qualifying and racing is actually going on, which is exactly when the rain is scheduled to hit. We will see!

If you bought seats already and want to skip because of the rain look up to see if they are covered seating. Some sections are covered by the section above if you bought a row far back enough and will keep you dry. Rain and cold is always a factor at Gillette, that’s why I made sure to buy covered seats.

I passed on it this year. No Jett or Tomac, I wasn't feeling it. You ride 23 or 508?

They need to move foxborough further in the schedule if possible. Its further north than new york, philly, or pittsburgh, should be after them.

If you're looking for more racing... JDay is at Southwick and NESC is at Central Village, CT this Sunday.  Have Fun!

Would be good for Barcia and Plessinger.

I think the ap mud deal is so over played.

Yeah, he is from ohio and has an off road blood line, but we have had plenty of mud races since he moved to 450s and i cant recall his results being any better than any other dry races at any of them.

And barcia,

Vitard, Please........
