Anyone else excited for the outdoors? I have no idea how good the kid is outdoors. Deegan is obvious the favorite by far going into Pala. But outdoors are a whole diff animal and if he can adapt to sx this well I’m excited to see him maybe in the title hunt.
I hope he can get back up to the speed some day.
Pumped to have another Kiwi to cheer for that is up front!!
Exactly.

They just can’t help but make everything about Deegan. It’s just vital. They can’t help it.
Same people are already seeing future greatness and dominance after one main event win.
No offense but this is exactly what Deegs.com was built on. Professionally VLOGing your kids since 4 may/will have some repercussions. They are getting everything they signed up for…
No...this kid is better by a long shot so far.
Question ….. What is his back story?
Other than the 2024 Futures what has he done to attract the attention of Star Racing?
What was done on the YZ250F that he was racing in the Futures? Was it a Star bike?
I would love to see Deegan try playing his little games and then get smoked by Davies on a regular basis lol
Cole came to the states for Futures 2023, he got 4th at the first round at Anahiem (Beating Deegan) but did it off his own back, with Ben Townley as coach, at the time he was riding for Josh Coppins racing on yamaha here in NZ, they did it with limited help from Yamaha USA, out of a pick up truck supplied by BT's CHampionship Mechanic Craig ;Motors" Behl, and Ben using his Pro Circuit connections for help, he did then break his collarbone at later round of futures, , he had been living and training with Ben Towbely for 3 ish months before, which is where the facebook video above comes from ,
there was no interest from Yamaha then, but Gas GAs with Daniel Blair and Will Hahn picked him up for a run at 2024 futures, which he won multiple rounds and the final, thus gaining the interest from Star racing, and lead to the current deal,
I’d say if you want to compare… hard to not shine light on the fact that Jett was 16.. you seen how impressive both Deegan and Cole have been at the age of 17… but if they got thrown in at 16.. wonder how their first seasons would look.
.
Long Shot? This is the first 9 races for Jett.
9,5,9,11,3,5,6,1
First 8 races for Cole
8,4,3,3,7,5,1
I don't think they are all that different. Cole seems to have something but lets slow our roll until he gets a few more races.
I don't think we'll see much of it. Outdoors Deegan is going to be well ahead of Cole. This will be a learning year outdoors for him. Next year, I'm sure you put Deegan and Cole on opposite coasts. Who is more of a contender than those two for Star? Then outdoors 2024, Deegs will move up and Cole will have 2 or more years left.
Point being, I think the next few races are the last we'll see them battle for a few years.
The Princess will be losing his mind.
One of the most badass visuals of the night was cole blitzing the whoops the entire main event right up to the last lap and then the 450 gate drops and on the very next lap on the track all of the top 450 guys are jumping through the whoops. The kid really has something special to be that good at whoops this early.
Pit Row
Davies is pure joy to watch ride. Interested to see how he does outdoors with the boys, if he can crack some regular Top 10's and maybe a top 5 that is going to be mighty impressive. More interested to see his technique and how it carries over and how he grows as a racer as the summer peaks.
I felt the same way and happy to see skimming was the fastest through the whoops. It looked so slow watching them jump the whoops on the 450s.
A better measuring stick would be in terms of pro racing. At 16 Jett had a couple seasons of racing in Europe under his belt
Jett was an Amateur in Europe
My two favourite things in sport, in order
1 - seeing Aussies win
2 - seeing kiwis win
Post a reply to: W Davies. Inevitable
