The amount of Deegan haters in this thread is comical.

Don’t worry, in 3 years when he’s winning 450SX and MX you’ll all be saying “I LOVED watching him and cheering for him on 250s!! I knew he would be great!!”

Jett Lawrence will have something to say about that. Now, go back to the Princess' attic - he needs some RNR.

Deegs should offer special limited edition merch to the true ones who show up at the trial to support him.   That would be sikk.

Can cops arrest for doing donuts in a privately owned parking lot?  Where I come from they won't even get involved in fender benders in parking lots since it's private property.

Admittedly, I haven't really read shit about this, I don't really care but I would assume he was on a public street if he got arrested.

Either way, making merch to sell based on being arrested in trashy as fuck.  I realize you are so obsessed with the Deegs that you'll never have enough common sense to see that, and that's ok because it takes all kinds to make this world work, even folks without common sense.

The statute he was charged with violating is a criminal statute, not a civil-traffic one.  Cops don't get involved in fender benders on private property typically if they are purely traffic and no crimes were committed.   If one of the drivers was drunk, however, they would get involved since DUI is also criminal and not civil-traffic.

Correct. Police don’t enforce summary traffic violations in private parking lots. For example, if you blow through a stop sign in your local Walmart parking lot the police can’t cite you for it. They can, however, enforce the major traffic violations such as DUI, homicide by motor vehicle, vehicle assault, hit and run, fleeing or eluding and driving without lights to avoid apprehension.

Private property owners can request police enforce certain violations if they have an issue. If the property owner notices people using their parking lot to do donuts then they can request police enforce certain violations. Depending on jurisdiction, signs indicating police authority are usually present. All states are different, but in PA they could be cited with trespassing (if notice is given), criminal mischief (if damages are sustained such as tire marks on the pavement) and reckless driving if it rises to that level.

What if the parking lot is on county park land?

I know in myrtle beach the police shut down a private parking lot at a bar and restaurant. It was a scheduled burnout event. Obviously everyone had permission from the owner. They gave out multiple tickets. They even gave a guy a ticket for loud exhaust even tho it wasn't even him. His car didn't run at the time and he had it all on go pro. From my experience it seems like most police don't even actually know the law and arrest/ticket people illegally. Obviously you get everything thrown out in court but it costs money. As far as this case goes I have no idea.

Spinning donuts in a parking lot doesn’t bother me much.
I’m more concerned about a 19 year old with a R8 wrapping himself around a light pole or taking out an entire family in a mini van.

If you want real YouTube cred you have to turn your court date for minor infraction into a couple of YouTube videos where your fans can come and show you some support. Don't let me down, Brian!

The amount of Deegan haters in this thread is comical.

Don’t worry, in 3 years when he’s winning 450SX and MX you’ll all be saying “I LOVED watching him and cheering for him on 250s!! I knew he would be great!!”

What's that got to do with anything? If he becomes an all time great, it excuses bad behavior? To be clear, I think this is a nothing burger. I'm just trying to figure out your logic. So when Jett wipes the floor with him, all the hate he's getting will be warranted?

Then a park ranger would conduct the investigation. If no county park police force exists then I’d imagine the local police would have authority. Admittedly, I’ve never come across a county park which had no park rangers so that’s just an assumption.

What are the local ordinances in Myrtle beach when it comes to a coordinated burnout event? Did the property owner obtain clearances/permits? Is there a municipal ordinance against such gatherings?

My experience is people who think they know the law actually don’t. They just come up with excuses as to why they didn’t fight the ticket- like not having money. You don’t need to hire an attorney to fight a traffic citation. If you think you know the law then walk into court, explain to the judge what the officer did wrong then be found not guilty.

Here: it took all of 3 minutes to find by simple google search. This section falls under the city noise ordinance. So basically that means doing burnouts anywhere within the city is a city noise ordinance. Whether you agree with the law or not is insignificant. It looks to me like the police did in fact know the laws. Turns out it was internet vital guy squawking about police misconduct who doesn’t know the laws.

I'm not sure but they had the permits. It was a car show and they did it often. The guy did fight it and got off. Again I'm not saying you I'm saying most cops. Ive been arrested 3 times illegally. Nothing came of any of them and I have a clean record. A lot of the police around me are very corrupt. I had to go to court in county over the one case because the local magistrate was too close with the officer and trying to do me wrong. He got laughed out of county and didn't seem very happy about it. They are the types of police who them and their buddies do what they want while they ticket others. I had eye surgery and had a very light tint on my vehicle you could see thru. I squint while driving. I got a ticket for tint while this officer and his fellow officers plus their families all have tint. He pulled me over for tint only ive never had a in state speeding ticket. Meanwhile all his friends have tinted out vehicles including some friends with tinted out commercial vehicles. It's not hard to find thousands of videos of officers on power trips arresting and ticketing people illegally on YouTube.

I hope I'm never such a fan boy of anyone that I get online and argue that them getting arrested and selling mugshot merch before the case is even settled is anything short of not good.

We can disagree on the degree to which it's bad, but if you're not starting at least slightly on the side of this being not good, pathetic.....

Again, did many similar stupid things at his age and still occasionally break some traffic laws...... but it would be unequivocally bad if I were to get arrested for any of it.

Lots of hate for Deegs. Yet lots of  love for Bob Hannah and J-Law doing way crazier things. Hell, we can make a list.  This is laughable at best. He has some way more “Dangerous” things to do before he ever reaches that level.

People just want something to bitch about.

Dude seems like he is the biggest whiner of all time

His IG is nothing but complaining about YouTube and random people that have “wronged” him

Was also really weird that he had a dirt bike he had to sell because he couldn’t get it running, when he has all those crazy car builds

I haven't even seen anyone giving him any unwarranted grief over this. He got arrested. He's going to get some shit over it. Most of us said we were young once and we get it.The merch drop gives pretty questionable optics. Young fans with your mug shot on T-shirt's? Anyone crying about the "haters" in this thread needs to get a grip

That dude is a spode.

He's a rich spode. Motocross money is chump change to him

Loved his early stuff and could definitely relate being dumbass farm kid having fun, but been a little painful to watch his life fall apart around him while he pretends everything is awesome. Sure wouldn't mind having his property in Tennessee though.

I haven't paid attention to him much as of late. I'm not aware what's going on with him. I know it's just shtick but man he wrecks some beautiful old trucks. It genuinely makes me sad lol. I did enjoy him beating the fuck out of that Mercedes AMG G-Wagon. Really showed what a badass vehicle that was.

This whole experience might take his head right out of racing and rearrange his focus.

The G wagon was impressive. I also enjoyed the cyber truck destruction more recently. Still can't believe the hitch busting off isn't a bigger deal.

This story got way too much time, isn’t this what racers do?

Promoting this situation by making t-shirts might make him some money. Although Deegan’s sponsors might want to distance themselves from him.
