What lesson should she have taught her son? That role models are people who have real impact in your life, like parental figures, teachers, and other adults who who can set children in the right direction.
That while it's okay to look up to athletes, celebrities, etc. they are not always the best role models. That life comes with disappointments and letdowns, that sometimes our expectations are not met and that is not necessarily a reflection of the person or people who let us down.
You are among the same group of bad faith actors that will show up in every thread about Deegan with a negative spin on it. Deegan was in a conversation, and this one video doesn't define his character. For every person that has a story like this, there are ten other stories that are positive.
While I don't get the riders autographs myself, I've walked the pits at races and have seen pretty much every rider sign an autograph with little to no attention to who they were signing it for. The fact is, these riders (especially popular ones like Haiden) can't give everyone individualized attention. Someone was already talking to Haiden, and he was getting attention from all sides. I doubt he seriously blew the kid off with any type of bad intentions.
My post did say he's doing what he needs to do. But he is underwhelming. Don, 971, and you would all be ones crying hater if someone said pre season he gets 5th at a1 in this field. Gets straight up beat and has nothing for a rookie in Glendale. There was so much hype including media saying he goes undefeated. Then the media saying they expected more from him. Thats the definition of underwhelming. I know you think you're the baddest guy on here but you let people hurt your feelings over a teenage kid. Time for a reality check for you too.
That's a fair take I suppose. I do actually think that Matthes or someone on one of his pods did throw out there that he could go undefeated.
At the same time, what he's done being "underwhelming" is pretty harsh too.
For the record, I never said he'd go undefeated. Hell, I'm more a fan of fucking with dudes like you who love to hate on the kid than I am a fan of the kid himself. I get a kick outta just how far people will go to keep talking negative about him.
Carry on.
Go and make Brian's bed 971. He want's to give you a 'session' for all your hard work.

And here I thought Brian was your lover...I mean you have been calling him your princess for awhile....
But didn’t you expect him to win every round?
I’m not a Deegan fan, but going on his previous seasons, I fully expected him to win every SX race this year.
Based on how many people get so bent outta shape about Little Deegan I'd say Brian already gave a bunch of dudes ol' ladies a 'session' and they're still butt hurt over it.
I wouldn't say you're a hater for saying he'd get 5th. I've held all along the West coast is the stronger coast (or was until a couple of injuries), and never suggested Haiden would go undefeated.
I think you and several others are haters because you enter any thread about Deegan to say something less than flattering, and if his results are what's expected, it's predictable who will have something to say about it. Probably time for you to grow up some and stop hating on a kid you don't even know.
He's a hater and you're a nuthugger. Deegan could murder a guy and you would defend him. There's no difference between him as a hater and you
I don't expect anyone to win every round of supercross, ever.
All this talk on the podium and from Brian that Haiden is getting back on track makes you wonder what the hell they thought of the situation with Craig. They aren’t bashing it outright but clearly they weren’t happy with his results. HD38 looks like a new guy out there. It’s been a massive improvement in the last few weeks. The oh by the way thanks god on the podium was a little odd. Poor kid can’t be himself. Makes you wonder who’s pushing him so hard to be someone he’s not.
Only happened once. Not even Bubba did it.
It's obvious who's pushing him - The Princess...
The kids parents wanted to make this race special for him and spent all day waiting in line to make it happen. They didn't run into him as he was passing by or warming up for practice, it was the autograph session scheduled the Star Racing who pays him to be there. These parents tried their best to give their son the memory of his lifetime and it sure delivered but not how they expected.
That's the kind of parenting any 8 year old kid would love to have. I'm not going to blame them for anything.
I like the way Deegan rides, I've said he's the best American rider to come around in the last 10 years, I picked him to win last week in the Eas-West Showdown thread, I don't like his clown show antics. If he was any kid that turned pro and was trying his best to deliver results I could forgive not being into the fan experience, but the Deegan's have spent the last 10 years with the expressed purpose of making their kids famous. Well, they got their wish, now they have to deal with it by taking 30 minutes per race to sign autographs, being there during that time for their fans is the least they could do.
This thread has not aged well, at all? Still lots of racing left but Huh?
Shocking that Jordon Smith is still only 5th in points, after missing two races. I know this has been echoed on here already but Deegan is doing what he needs to do, it’s just every podcast, and I mean EVERY podcast said this West coast was gonna be a snoozer, Deegan would win half the races, and nobody would have anything for him. It’s taken Kitchen, Shimoda, Hampshire, Smith, Beaumer, and DiFrancesco all dropping out of the class or sustaining injuries for him to take control of this championship. That being said, if all those guys are gone and you’re the only one left, there’s something to be said to you being the only one strong enough to still be there.
Was he like AC as an amateur in that he's used to getting exceptional starts? I know he has a history with cheater bikes so maybe? Or maybe he feels the need to slam the front wheel of everyone he passes and this is costing him momentum. Either way, as exciting to watch as he is, it's not as dominant as Jett was.
Pit Row
It looks like asterisks are still alive and well on Vital. Attrition is part of racing, and the last one across the line still wins.
Additionally it needs to be accepted that with 1.4 million YouTube subscribers, 1.7 million on Instagram, and 1.8 million on TikTok, people are invested. We've all known about the family for years, but there's a lot of outside influence at play. Haiden isn’t just a Supercross star—he’s an internet sensation. And if you ask kids in school what they want to be, the numbers speak for themselves:
A Harris Poll & LEGO study (2019) found that 29% of U.S. kids aged 8-12 wanted to be a YouTuber—more than those who wanted to be astronauts.
A Morning Consult study (2019) found that 54% of Gen Z and Millennials (ages 13-38) would become an influencer if given the opportunity.
A Higher Visibility survey (2023) found that 57% of Gen Z respondents considered becoming an influencer.
More people know who Haiden is than Michael Jordan—and he’s only going to get bigger. But the most important thing? He put in the work. He still puts in the work. That is why he is mentioned, Everyone wants on that coattail. Have you ever wondered what Brian put forth in marketing dollars to get his empire as successful as it is? That's a whole new thread.

LOL, are you off your meds? Seriously
You could make a Ham Sandwich social media popular if Monster Energy shared & probably equally important paid to promote your content so more and more people see it on all its social media platforms. Literally
Not to forgot simply buy likes / followers
It’s not rocket science or marketing genius….its sucking up to Monster Energy and getting every benefit of their vast and incredibly well funded marketing machine to run up the score on your own likes/followers..
I have an ASTERISK for you;
Michael Jordan is one of the top ten most recognizable names in the entire world. Like up there with; Jesus, Einstein, Gandhi.... His shoes still outsell all NBA stars, hell some still wear his shoes. Goat herders in Uganda could pick him out of a lineup even if they have never seen a basketball. Marketablily probably in the trillions worldwide. To say ANY Deegan is more popular or recognized is simply moronic.
Does anyone who doesn't follow motocross or any form of dirt bike racing know who Haiden Deegan is? Hell, most of the general public would have no idea what motocross or supercross is. I may be completely out to lunch but has anyone - ever - saw anything about Deegan outside of our little, niche moto bubble? Look at this list of most followed on Instagram:
https://www.epidemicsound.com/blog/most-followed-on-instagram/
Notice who isn't on it? Ronaldo has over 650 million followers. Number 10 on the list has over 300 million. Deegan has 1.7 million. Have some perspective - in the larger picture, his social and cultural relevance is miniscule. Michael Jordan my ass.
I don't know that kid but I hope he doesn't get too much of a swelled head. He's a terrific rider and a star in niche sport. He should be able to make a comfortable living, and probably become fairly wealthy. His detractors are generally unfairly critical. HIs fans, delusional. I just hope he stays healthy, rides well, and keeps a good head on his shoulders. I really couldn't give a shit how many "followers" he has because I try not to be a shallow twat.
For a thread that’s about Lil’ Deegs “underwhelming” us in 2025…
1. This thread sure has legs for such a hilarious title.
2. The OP’s point doesn’t seem to have aged well.
3. A lot of grown-assed men sure do get their panties in a twist.
4. This interwebsthingy sure is entertaining. Especially when the aforementioned grown men have it out for a teenager.
5. You Can Not Make This Shit Up©️
Hasn’t Deegs been on the podium every round since A1?
Woah... you REALLY think that more people know who Haiden is than Michael Jordan?
Really?
Seriously?
Woah....
There was a day where every dirtbiker in SoCal had their own name tattooed on their back or stomach, hilarious 😆
its like how american college students think USA is the most oppressive country on earth because it's all they pay attention to.
maybe he meant to qualify the MJ comparison to generation Alpha/Beta age groups.
I unfortunately have a tramp stamp of my last name because I thought it was cool when I was 15 and my dad said sure at the tattoo shop. Makes for a good story now that I’m pushing 40 and out of shape. 🤣
I know. That is the worst take I've seen in awhile and is so utterly divorced from fact it's flabbergasting.
I'm certain if someone randomly asked 100 people on the street (not people on the street on the way to a SX race) who Haiden Deegan was, 100 would say they didn't know.
Yeah it was called a Tramp Stamp..
