How else is he gonna make a living?

40 acres…

A mule…

A successful youth…

An unbelievably beautiful family…

And…

Faith.

Signed,

A dude that just knows.

Aka, a Forkner fan from waaay back when they were on Suzukis from a little shop outta Independence, Missouri.

Time, just give him time. He’s earned it.

How you figure?  He finished 3rd in points last year and he’s currently 6th this year.

Henery Miller is not out of a pick up truck. Hes on a full blown semi

He’s slowly showing flashes, give him some more time. That 2nd in qualifying was a bright moment

I was exaggerating as previously explained. Just the comparison between a factory rider and a non-factory rider.

Don’t put a Fork-N-Er yet boys. Give the guy some time to heal up mentally. For those of you that have never suffered from a major injury, that shit takes time to heal from. I speak from experience.

He’s doing incredibly well after the long recovery he had.

If you read this Forkner, your story in MX is just getting started.

I wonder if it is the bike or him?  Either way, there has never been a time in Austin’s racing career where he was battling with guys like Hardy Munoz for 10th in Supercross.  It sucks that injuries prevented him from riding to his potential, but I can’t feature him ever getting a W on his current team, and if history tells us anything, his results won’t improve outdoors.  This ship has sailed.

I don’t even remember Forkner racing outdoors? He has always been hurt leading into them, I do remember him coming back off an ACL and doing decent. Can’t use that as a bench mark for his speed outdoors though.

Yeah I figured it had to be a long time ago, the guy is very talented and I think if Triumph is patient they will get what they’re looking for out of him. He’s the best rider talent wise on their roster, like he said himself he just needs some confidence and to put it all together.

big fax , like I said earlier in this thread , manz gotta build him a base & just improve from there , after a while injuries start to pile up & as u get older u can’t just get back to ur normal form right out the gate like u once could when u a spring chicken & thts just common sports knowledge , my expectations of him going into this season was for him just to finish & make every scheduled race with no injury & then by 2026 we can start having convos of him actually getting back to top contender status again depending on who’s still in the 250s & where everybody progression lvl is at

I dont get why people wouldnt think hes backing it down to make sure he makes every gate drop and gets the seat time needed just like he did in mx when he first came back. He said he just wants to make it to every race and he did. Then when sx came he came out and won a few in a row. Its gonna take a bit to come back again, he needs to get seat time again.

Interview with vital said as much. Problem is any time he tries to cut it loose he ends up in the hospital.

I am conflicted on Forkner.  Happy that he's finishing the race, disappointed that he is not showing his potential. My takeaway is that there is speed hidden deep, and every race is an opportunity to find it.

I mean he got 2nd in qualifying so the speed is there. I think he’s just having trouble finding it in the race. Finding the will to just send it at the start to pull a hole shot.

Im  sure he thinks about a couple years ago where it wasn’t even his fault when he got pummeled into the start going for the holeshot.

At this point he might as well take his time being healthy getting top 10’s. Look at all the people who have gotten injured and are still getting injured.

Problem is, if he is thinking about past injuries as you stated, he’s lost the edge.  While it is great that he’s finished every race, the fact remains that he’s sitting 12th in points behind several privateers.  If you’re drawing a 6 figure salary in the 250 East series, you have to produce results.

I think that would be up to Triumph Racing to decide, since they’re the ones paying his salary.
