It’s a good one. Unfortunately for all of us, DB will probably never be back on an SX broadcast. We’re stuck with the most annoying voice/accent in SX, an overly sensitive guy that isn’t very good in the booth, and sprinkles of Weege and James (who are both great in the booth).

RC sucks in the booth, hates seeing people saying DB is better. Leigh also sucks in the booth and hates that Todd Harris got complimented by DB and not him.

Yep. Malin proves it can be done with 2 people and done well. Even RDL could be done with the same person like Malin does with the pre show.

ill probably get downvoted for this, but i dont understand why people get so tore up about the broadcast. could it be better? yes. will they change anything to make it better? no. people have complained for how many years, and i cant think of one thing thats been changed for the better. it is what it is. i dont give a shit who is in the booth. they could put leigh, todd, rc, cameron steele, weege, will, jamie little, and erin bates all in the booth at the same time and i would still happily watch every single race. i get to watch mx/sx live year round for a relatively low price, and thats all i care about.

I have no idea which side(s) of the story are correct. I do know that the announcing of the race is rather poor. They repeatedly do not see key trends developing, 2/3rds of the field is never seen or mentioned, and the tone comes across weak to me. RC is the consistent weak link, by far. Not a Diffy fan either, but that is just personal opinion rather than any observation or suggestion that he is not good. Maybe others like him. Right now Supercross does not have a defining voice that generates excitement, or competence.

I understand the sentiment of not caring to some degree, but our sport is very small. If in the NFL, some all-time hall of famer were an announcer doing a terrible job and bullying other people out of the booth with him, you’d hear about it.
It matters because this sport matters to a lot of us and the way it’s represented on national television matters to us. Having DB in the booth doing an excellent job represents our sport well. Having a guy who is illiterate/can’t string together a grammatically correct sentence in there makes our sport look bad.
I like Daniel so I think it’s a bummer he got pushed out.

You don't think this happens in any other sport 😂. It happens everywhere, even in your local news broadcast team. You have people who don't like someone else and gets them fired because of it. It happens in every industry as well, just the way it is. New hotshot climbing the ladder that has limited positions at the top, better watch out.
Of course I know it happens in other sports and everywhere. Our sport is very small and there’s less barrier to the situation for fans so we “know” the details a bit more.

In this case it was just the nerds against the cool kid. The nerds came together and said DB is too cool and making us look bad. This is my sweet 16!
I think you have it backwards, DB is the nerd and RC/tv crew are the cool kids running the show. Hopefully someday we get a revenge of the nerds situation and we get the competent broadcast team in the booth and also directing the camera action. Until then we just have to be happy it’s on TV and if you get the Black Friday deal you are only paying $1.99 a month for it
i just listened to it. im truly appalled. all i can say is there are some absolute idiots behind the scenes.

Lee Diffy is a douche. RC is a douche. No one else appears to be a douche. Management wants to cater to the talent. But the irony is, there really is no talent. So, we're gonna have to live with the broadcast the way it is.
RC you're as good on the broadcast as you were in NASCAR, just remember that.

Rc absolutely fucking blows but the whole tv crew seems to love his racing resume as if that gives him some kind of credentials and pull over the audience.
They also call him the goat 500 times a night and im sure he loves that.

Yea man, he uprooted his entire life because he was sold a dream and they pulled the rug. He's a regular guy just trying to hussle which most of us can relate to. Life's not fair... we get it.
DB elevated Ricky. Weege and DB can combo with anyone and make a great broadcast. Except Lee, he still sucks.
People are up in arms because DB is a legit hard working guy like us. He had his businesses over the years and did whatever it took to make a living. The guy was on the verge of making it and those piles of Shit RC and Diffey pulled the rug because they were threatened by him. The comments, tweets, posts etc were always so positive for Daniel and are always nearly negative for those two asshats. The result of us supportin DB was they cock blocked him from ever achieving what he desired. I understand there is two sides to every story but DBs is really hard to argue since there is video evidence of RC being a dick to DB in a crowd of fans and riders.
Just listened to Blair's side and wow. That being said, after watching the FOX broadcast of Indycar with Will Buxton instead of Leigh, all I can say is wow, what a relief. Watching the SMX broadcast is rough, because they are catering far too much to the people who don't know anything about the sport and I just downright don't enjoy it. It was enjoyable when Blair was on because to me, he was the perfect in between, gave tons of insight into the sport but made it to where it was easy for everyone to understand, but pleased those of us who watch week in and week out.
Just listen to him on Gypsy, he tells his story there too.

You know all people have ever wanted from the supercross broadcast was for them to not talk to us like we are 3rd graders. The red honda. The green kawasaki. Just call the race the same way every other sport does and speak to the lifelong viewers. Explaining something like your a third grade teacher isnt appealing to no one.
