Didn’t think they’d be able to top the ugly blue top/brown bottom stuff from the other week. Well done Thor 🥴

😂😂😂 Dude don’t tempt us! No, the “crotch graphic”, as we affectionately call it in the office, was just a wild idea that probably should have only been once or twice. It’s still pretty wild and different tho.

Absolutely hideous. No offense to those involved. And “medium boy” looks like a blonde Weird Al Yankovic in the ad.

There needs to be a case study completed about the demise and collapse of Thor. One of the best moto brand/company has turned into pure shit. What an embarrassment for all involved. Sad.

This forum (and sport for that matter) isn’t exactly known for being synonymous with top tier design.  I’m a full time artist myself, and some gear companies do a pretty ok job for the most part but this sport is making gear for an audience of middle class straight men between the age of 12-50.  Historically that audience has the least sensible eye for fashion.  The bar is not that high in our sport for visual appeal when there are huge logos with a million colors slapped everywhere to begin with.  Also, the target demographic doesn’t have the bar that high and are dressed by their wives.

The Thor brown and aqua are actually complimentary colors, but the value of the 2 colors ended up being slightly different so they didn’t exactly “match” to the eye.  I think personally a slightly darker brown pant and slightly lighter aqua jersey would’ve hit visually. Also, this highlighter pink, safety yellow/green trend happened in Nike years ago, trickled into smaller exercise fashion and is now happening in motocross 10 years too late.

The brown/aqua gear desaturated to see the valueIMG 9682

Moto started seeing flo-glo in the mid 80's and has had some cool gear sets over the years. I do agree that we are seeing some bad designs lately. For me it's either fasthouse or FXR.

Are we not allowed to have some fun? We rolled out a classic Patriot kit last week, why are we judged by the on-trend one off pieces that we throw out at random, and sell out faster than we can make them?

Is continuing to grow and sell in a global market considered “demise/collapse”? Weird choice of words.

“This the end for THOR”. We’ve got 27 more kits in the catalog to choose from 😂

Most of these guys complain about the new style of tighter gear because it's a problem with their beer bellies. It's not the demographic for that kit but you already know that. I'm sure I'll see it on all the young fast punks at the practice track as they're blowing my doors off.

I ragged on the aqua/brown, but I thought the neon was pretty sweet, like old school neons. Also the patriot kit is really cool imo esp the gloves and goggles.

As one of those beer-bellied guys, I do upsize our Sport jersey, haha 🙋‍♂️

Main stream fashion started flourescents in the 80s again through fitness trends (think Flo headbands, short shorts and primary color tank tops).  “Vintage” fashion is something 20 years old or older and as such fashion design is cyclical.  The issue is there’s a window that you have to do it within or it’s off cycle.  2025 is several years after the window.

If brands want to stay in cycle, they should look at what was happening in the main stream and moto in 95-2005 and cycle it up with a modern take.  It would hit.  I have some ideas I shouldn’t post for free on this board..

And this wasn’t originally how the kit was supposed to lay out - the mint (aqua) was planned to carry into the pant (what you see with the pink / blue this weekend), but after four rounds of sampling, we went with the all-copper pant and had to run with it, or scrap the piece altogether. Thanks for your insights here, we are going to continue with traditional / classic designs for the most part, but we’ll never stop working to progress, even if our largest consumer demographic won’t like the 10% of what we make 😏

I actually like the pant and jersey. Again they’re complimentary and unique.  You’re selling to a crowd who hates change and I’m sure it’s hard to make them happy especially when they probably don’t dress themselves or know what’s in their closet

Lots of people commenting about the top not matching the bottom but plenty of cycling kits or other comparable products are breaking away from that formula.

It’s funny you mention this - when we showed up to The Farm for last photoshoot, the Star youngsters were all about the “belt break” style with the pant and jersey not linking up directly. That’s the beauty of how broad our line is, a little something for everyone.

Yeah, that’s why I keep saying, we’re not trying to please everyone, it’s impossible. We’re just having fun and making stuff that people can take or leave. As long as we’re all out there riding, I don’t care what you wear!
