I am begging you guys not to be weird in this thread. The Instagram comments are bad enough.
I believe this is the first time Feld/SMX have acknowledged Black History Month. Just curious if there are any interviews or columns out there that can be linked where black racers talk about their experience in the sport as a minority. Again, please don’t be weird.
This shouldn’t be a weird thing at all and should be celebrated. Unfortunately, the response isn’t unexpected. It’s a shame the moto community hasn’t changed or evolved at all even after the Stewarts have shared what they’ve had to endure.
Weird they never posted for Hispanic or indigenous heritage month
They should!
It would be cool to have some kind of retrospective on guys like Ernie, Pedro Gonzalez, who have come up. Seems like that wave of Latin American transplants died down after the 00s, but given how much of the United States is Hispanic, I imagine there will be quite a presence in future moto.

as a black man myself I feel greatly appreciated feld 😂👌🏾 but this isn’t really necessary at least for me personally , I feel every culture & nationality needs to be recognized in some way & form cause every culture is unique but thts a different topic for a different day
What about Pride Month for that one former Suzuki racer?
Well I am sure that one everyone was thinking in the late 2000's from MN kinda show he like female tail. But who knows. he wouldnt be the first one with multiple offspring.. I found your comment funny though. thanks for the laugh!
I don’t think Dungey was the one in question. It was a little before his time.
Congrats on a completely unnecessary thread🤦🏼♂️
The people in this sport are ridiculous
I just started diving deep into the sport in 2004. But it always seemed be me they were pointing toward Dingey. I do remember some others maybe referring to older times.
But it always seemed center around Dungey I thought but hell that a 15-20 yo memory now.
And shit with the reference. Who was it so I don't make the mistake again and look stupid. I don't give I shit if the were guy but who was/is all always believed to be?
I think field needs to fast track their DEI program. If you are not white or straight in 2026, you get to use a start hook.
Andy Jefferson and the Stewarts are the first that came to mind, who else is on the list?
Mmmm… the ESG pressure must be on for entertainment industries.
Electric nascars, electric trucks, black month.. I was surprised they didn’t get us last June but I bet this year we’ll be proud lol.
David McClain from Houston got 5th overall at high point, and several top tens on 500s.
I dont see the problem with it. Like, at all. Who cares?
Dungey is gay? Who knew?
Isn't the hair cut enough?...

DEI would be giving riders rides based on whatever. Acknowledging black history month in a post is not quite the same, smh.
That’s true. However, if you’re going to recognize cultural heritage months you should acknowledge them all.
I agree. Im sure if they did thered be even more complaining.
That’s awesome man. Thanks for posting this.
Yep, they seem to hate women and foreigners (except Russians).
YES! Glad to see Feld onboard and not just in a performative way - I'm expecting a Black board member any day now....
I think the point is most black people in America can't exactly trace their heritage back to a country/region like everyone else.
Very inspirational…
No group needs to be recognized. It doesn’t bring anyone together. What brings us together is the sport itself, no matter your ethnicity, race, etc.
Huh? I'd argue theirs is the least difficult to trace. Maybe I don't understand your comment. It wouldn't be the first for that. lol
