Def excited for this game. I’m a nobody, but if I had to offer advice Id say change the name. It may just be a placeholder anyways I’m not sure, but if not they should make it something unique to the game. With motocross the game as the name when searching for “motocross game” every other mx game is going to pop up. If its something like “mx reflex” “mx unleashed” it makes it so the game youre searching for is the one that comes up. Also theres not an easy short hand name for motocross the game. For mx reflex its hey wanna come over and play reflex? For this its hey want to play motocross the game? Or hey want to play motocross? Which one? Just a few things to think about.

Mtg means magic the gathering and marjorie trailer green already haha.

Any updates on the Game...release date?

I really hope they are putting 99% of their time into physics. Nobody gives a shit about real world maps, stadiums, fans, gear, menu graphics. To not have a MX game improve in 17 yrs is fucking crazy.

No updates, should I post the discord updates in here when they come out?

Dude, cannot agree more.
When i first bought it i played 3rd person and was so annoyed how moto games suck ass these days. But a few weeks ago i randomly tried first person and it’s been actually playable. Play it everyday now, it’s like a different game.

Amazes me that several years into this game’s life cycle and people still haven’t figured that out. As soon as someone puts even 2 hours into first person and their opinion changes completely.

Do you guys play MX Bikes or MXSim in 3rd person too?

If your competitive, people play in 3rd with FOV and stuff. Gets all technical haha

But also, a lot play 1st person in SX and 3rd person outdoors for that “Beast mode feel”

I play first person and top 5 in the world on some tracks. Just feels more realistic and less like an arcade game. Set my bike and gear up like IRL and it makes it fun haha especially with updated maps of compounds and graphiccs etc..

MX bikes will always be top dog for now. But not every one has a PC

I dont know how this guy made mx sim look this realistic in this video, but if you can make the game look like this… take all my money. I think they used a recording of deegan riding the same track, changed the speed of the game, and used a mod camera? Shit looks and sounds insane. THIS is what ppl want. Can it be done?

Yeah… if we had a game exactly like this on console I’d pay an ungodly amount of money for it.

That’s real MXS footage but they dubbed over the audio from a real GoPro video and overlayed a visor on the video to make took like a helmet cam.

Do you think theres any way to make the audio that realistic in a game? You wouldnt really know it until you see it, but the audio makes a huuuuuuuuge difference apparently.

The previews of the 2-stroke and 4-stroke sounds they’ve posted are the best I’ve heard in a video game and they said they’re still in the early stages of them. It seems promising!

Recording actual bike audio could make a huge difference. So many other games just use crappy computerized engine noises. Pretty sure that’s how games like Forza used to get such exact audio for particular engines, they’d strap a bunch of fancy microphones on the actual car and record it ripping around a track.

Here’s the first glimpse of the sounds. Again, first integration stuff so far from finished. The toughest part is tying realistic engine noise/exhaust to the actual throttle input from the controller and load the bike is under in the game. That’s why in most of the games, the exhaust is just a sound loop that doesn’t really match what the bike is doing and shifts an infinite amount of times.

This does seem like they’re off to a good start with that, though.

As of now, I would say MX Bikes is the best game you can play. It is middle ground between Reflex and MX Simulator. Once modded, it looks awesome, the physics are spot on, and the sound (on certain bikes) is as real as it gets. Coming from a Reflex fan.

I agree and I also can't play anything else since I started playing MX Bikes last year finally. It's not perfect, but pretty much the best MX game I personally played and the modded tracks are constantly getting better. The 2024 outdoor tracks are unreal, but also hard as shit. Only turn off in my opinion is the disgusting uphill physics and it's so wonky sometimes after you crash and start going again.

I do completely understand that not everyone wants to invest hundreds of hours into the game and maybe just play once or twice a week for an hour or two and MX Bikes probably isn't the move then. Even though Legends probably made huge improvements, I'm still not a big fan of the physics. Probably still the best game for people that don't have an PC right now.

I hope MTG will be the perfect middleground, physics close to MX bikes while being easier and playable with assists. The team looks good and I'm looking forward to it, but would also be completely fine being stuck with MX Bikes even though I'm still dogshit.

Yup. Anytime someone says "try legends, its great now" I go watch a recent YouTube video of it expecting some big update only for it to look as terrible as the day it released. The physics are just so screwed up in that game, just like any of the Milestone games. Sorry, not wasting my money. Its crazy how MX Unleashed and MX vs ATV are probably still the best two MX games after Reflex and MX Bikes.

Finally someone here gets it!!!

So I agree, but I want to offer my perspective as someone who has put a bunch of time into legends the last month.

I deleted the game shortly after launch. I downloaded it a month ago and have been putting in lap after lap. After tuning (YOU HAVE TO TUNE THE BIKE) the bike exactly how I want. There are some redeeming qualities of the game and I think they are moving in a positive direction. One thing that is starting to work is the cornering. I can pull the clutch and hold a rut and it’s pretty damn satisfying. The in air physics have gotten loads better. You can turn the bike down into the transitions. The scaling on the supercross tracks is good, especially the Lawerence compound. You can’t watch it on YouTube. You have to play it, and you can’t give up after 3-4 hours.

It’s not perfect. Still has a ways to go. But they are definitely making the game better.. especially compared to the steaming pile of crap we got at launch.

But not to completely high jack. I’m a MTG funder and can’t wait for the new game

Ever since this game was announced, I haven’t touched MX Bikes again. Im kinda burned out on it, but it's no doubt the best we have currently. Can't wait to grind the shit out of MTG if it really delivers what it promises.

JV (one of the main track guys for MTG) just put out a new banger compound for MX Bikes, probably a foretaste of what MTG tracks will look like. The level, detail and flow is absolutely insane. Motocross the game is in really good hands with these guys, I'm hyped as fuck.

It is really cool that there some IRL guys, and even a team sponsoring the track, it is cool how many people mx bikes bring together. Some of the lines are tough on a 250.

Even though I hope we will also see the official Outdoor/MXGP/SX tracks in the game at some point, it's nice to see something different aswell. Can't wait

It's something new and different, and more tracks, so no complaints from me.

For me, it'll be interesting to see how they look/feel compared to real life. It'll also be cool to once again "ride" some of tracks I've ridden before being paralyzed.

MXGP already puts out a game, so I think it'll be difficult to get the license/rights to put them in this game. Same with SX.

IMO, if they can pull that off, it'll be the best MX game to date. At least for console players.

MX vs ATV Legends were able to get the license rights for the AMA SX/MX tracks, so I have no worries that we see those in MTG aswell at some point.

MXGP is a weird one yeah. Their swap from Milestone to Artefacts Studio was a really bad decision, MXGP24 is probably the biggest flop we have ever seen out of all MX games, I wonder if we see another game even. Like they literally have less than 5 people playing that game per day on PC at least. If they could partner with MTG somehow it would be amazing. It's all about making some money for them these days and I would be surprised if they even made any money out of it with the latest game. lol

Latest game looks horrendous. I don't know who made the decision to go with that studio, but he/she needs to be fired.
