Do you have an estimated timeline?

If it is plated it's longer to heal.

He'll be fine by outdoors.

Jett, not so much, 6-9 months. As long as a year for an athlete to return. I think all these guys come back too early from severe injuries leading to less than optimal performance and higher risk of reinjury.

It’s weird because Racer X said he was out for the season but I couldn’t find any statement from Tomac or the team that says anything about that

Another * Championship for Sexton…

Chase doesn't shred ligaments and break bones when he dabs a foot. Maybe his competition should be more durable. Yes it's a ridiculous thing to say...

Deathcross strikes again. In another month it'll be Hand vs Harlan for the title.

Damn, I hope Harlan can pull it off!!

Yeah, just going off the x-ray and a question asked. Everyone is pretty closed mouthed about injuries so we don't know about soft tissues injuries he got with the fib break. Doing some more Googling it seems a bad sprain heals about as fast as a fib break. It's all speculation on our part but Eli was really on it this year and this season could have been one of the best ever.

In Eli's Instagram story he said he'd have more info today after the surgery or this weekend. Hoping he can catch the last few supercross races and get ready for outdoors.

Surgery? That nearly double the recovery time.

Nah, last 2 surgeries in my house (plated collarbone, plated wrist) were 8 weeks and back on the bike, and we are amateurs w/o any special care programs. They will plate that and he'll be riding in 6 weeks.

What's so bothersome about this injury is he was looking the best he's looked on an SX track since his 2022 title season, so for it to be thrown away with something like this in the twilight of his career hurts to watch.

On a positive note, he should definitely be 100% by the time outdoors rolls around, and truth be told, that's where Eli is most fun to watch and can do the most damage. Plus, I would be surprised if he didn't come back for SX in 2026. This sucks right now, but there's also a chance we're knee-deep into a Tomac/Sexton/Prado/Jett?(depending on his ACL recovery) championship race come the dog days of summer, and Tampa SX will seem inconsequential.

As long as he doesn't get the blood clots.🤐

Maybe but your plated injuries aren't weight bearing.
