Deegan is his own problem. He should be dominating this series with a depleted field but can’t get his starts figured out. Cole Davies and Juju are legit, but he SHOULD be beating them both imo.

Depleted field? Smith, Davies and Beaumer are for real. Haiden isn't getting starts at all either.

If you compare it against 250E it is very much depleted.
Realistically, only Deegan, Beaumer, Smith and Davies can win. Shimoda maybe if he gets back close to 100% later in the season.

East we have
Thrasher, Brown, Kitchen, Hammaker, Mcadoo, Hymas, Forkner, Hampshire, Vialle, Anstie
That'S 10 guys that can and are expected to win
Add in guys like Mumford, Vohland, Bennick. It's insane.

All but about three of those guys will not display consistency. Kitchen, Vialle and RJ will be the guys imho.

Davies is chipping away at the points too.  Looking forward to seeing how he does in the East/West Showdown rounds.

That Cole Davies kid is no joke. He beat Deagan straight up twice last night. Those wins were no gimmes, he flat out was better than Deagan. Very impressive young man.

Seems Davies is faster than Deegan now. Not something new to this sport really is it? Next big thing starts getting beat by someone else new before he hits his stride right? Happens from time to time.

So last week when Haiden won, and the previous weeks where Haiden was faster is now striken from the record and Cole is faster based on 2 motos?

Coles ability to calmly raise his own bar time and time again is so impressive. He really uses his legs and core well and pushes through the jumps. So fun to watch ride and he is only gaining confidence and experience. He rides in the meat of the power vs Deegan off the limiter and really is in control. Excited for his future

Watching him ranting in the team hauler was hard to watch.

I actually felt bad for haiden. He looked like he just wanted to be left alone and could imagine him thinking "stfu and leave me alone already"

The look on the faces of the other team members was telling.

It will be interesting to see how that relationship goes through the years.

I kind of thought the same thing but it’s foolish to read too much into it. We don’t know what’s being said and Deegan kinda has RBF.

HD is a great racer, and he’s got some racing smarts to learn. The over revving, over riding stuff was painful to watch last night, we saw near misses and small, silly crashes. Like RC said, sometimes you gotta slow down to go faster, as of today he’s solid on tacky SX tracks and most MX tracks, but it’s gonna be interesting to see how he does on a 450, especially on a track like Glendale. And the family dynamic may bring fireworks when HD stands up to Brian and points out that he’s already done a lot more winning than Brian ever did.

Basically, Deegan is Deegans biggest problem.

It was in between the first and second or 2nd and 3rd race on the broadcast, they showed them for about 10 seconds. IMO trying to take anything away from it as a definitive is silly.

It was in the broadcast at some point, I saw it too. HD sitting in a chair with Brian kinda ranting in his face was what I remember. It made me think of Little League baseball/mini MX dads..

Edit: there was no audio, so assumptions are being made, maybe that’s how the Deegans show their love..

Cole beat everybody in the first two motos, not just Deegan. I understand there's a lot of "anybody but Deegan" sods at this place, but two motos at a triple crown doesn't settle the issue.

IMO with this attitude of sending it I don't see a bright future for him in the 450 class. Bacia used to rev shit out that 250 and we all know how it turned out in the 450 class for him. It will bite you and will bite hard plus all seasoned competitors. I just can't see it. Mayby it's just me, dunno..

I think he'll put the work in to improve in SX. Whatever critique you have of him, you can't deny he works his ass off. His ceiling is just limited in SX compared to some of these other young guns. And to be clear, I'm only talking sx. He's going to ruin these guys when they switch to mx and I could definitely see 450 mx titles for him. I don't see it in SX IMO

Mmmm...I don't know that 'ruin' is the word I'd use..

Davies has a future, but 12 points behind Deegan and 15 behind 1st after 4 races is sizeable. 6 races left with 3 of those being shootouts.

This is not the thread for common sense. Apparently the guy who finished 2nd overall last night sucks at supercross. And will have a bad 450 career. And even if he ends up winning this championship. He’ll still be an underachiever in Supercross in vitards eyes. 💁‍♂️

You can see the confidence in himself growing too, he was awkward in interviews at the start of the year, he is comfortable now. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins a race by 10 seconds before the season is over.

Yes.  He is already shaping up to be a better supercross rider.  Take Brian's dick out of your mouth for a minute and you might see the sentiment around here - and which way the wind is blowing.

You've posted a list of riders that are racing outdoors , yes.  That's not a list of title contenders.

5-6 are serious championship level guys.

Haiden hasn’t consistently been faster than Davies all season. Talking just main events, Deegan was faster at Anaheim 1 and Anaheim 2 while Davies was faster in San Diego and Glendale. They’re about 50/50 with each other. Although they’ve both made mistakes, Deegan has made more and is in his third year while Cole is a rookie

Oh i absolutely understand that,im just making mention that's the crowd he's expected to dominate and im not so sure that will happen as these dudes will all be on the gate and won't move over for him or at the very least, hold him up

Even if I'd kept it to the 5-6 you mentioned that's a lot to 'dominate' every weekend.
