Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
Were the odds about 35 - 50% he was going to get hurt is SX anyway?
This sucks, I really wanted to see what he had when they took it outside!
Blame Steve and that pole...
Matthes Net/fail
Was looking forward to his progression. Time to look forward to outdoors though!

Damn it... I really like Prado and the excitement of him running outdoors cannot be ignored.
I hope it's a simple surgery and he can get back to training shortly.
Man that sucks. Thats honestly the worst case scenario come to reality. He needed to just stay healthy and get through sx and get a lot of laps under his belt. Then when mx comes hit the ground running. This sets back his sx progression by an entire year and will also affect his mx season. Not good. Gutted for him.
Too many letdowns in this sport.
I hope he can recover quickly with no issues, I think its somewhat questionable that he's sitting out so long, but i can't wait to see what he can do in mx. This sucks because he needs every ounce of experience he can get in sx right now, especially since he changed brands and everything else.
Damn that sucks. Hopefully this doesn’t impact his outdoor season, maybe he gets a jumpstart on outdoor testing or will this put him right on the edge of making the opener?
Really sucks, hope it doesn’t affect Jorge long term. Does this help or hinder Anderson resigning with Kawi- it’s clear Kawi shouldn’t gamble the farm on Prado being their future indoors
Thats a real bit of bad luck from what should have been something to walk away from .
Maybe people need to be told ' dont grab the nets'
Lets see what the viewing figures are like for Glendale now.
Big loss for the Spanish side.
That sucks, hopefully he's ready to go for outdoors.
Greg Albertyn # 2?. I hope not.
Get well soon man.
You cannot change my mind that he hasn't had the sickest setups so far in 2025 SX. His gear/bike look has been insane.
Damn, what bad luck... it didn't seem like a serious accident.
I hope he's 100% ready for the outdoors!

Unfortunately this is exactly what everyone that follows the sport expected. SX isn’t easy. The first track with big rhythms and he gets hurt. I’m bummed, I was really hoping he would make it through healthy.
Well this sucks… …. Hopefully nothing too bad & he can get healthy for outdoors….
If it's bad enough to end your season and go under the knife it's bad. GWS!
Pit Row
I selfishly desire to know more specifics about what kind of damage was found and what kind of surgery he's having, because I find that interesting. I do sincerely apologize for my curiosity.
Yeah whole season out and its January. Did he lose his shoulder and they cant find it!
The Steve Matthes Memorial Nets: Here to save you, or spice up your fall!
I don't understand the down votes. How many factory riders get through any seadon uninjured? Aren't the chances at least 30% any rider gets injured?
Wasn't there a total of 4 people who did all 31 rounds last year?
See Adam Cianciarulo's rookie SX season. He also had a shoulder dislocation, and the surgery put him out for 3-4 months.
Kawasaki right now:
I kind of think, maybe a rider being brought over from overseas, needs a year of training SX without racing SX. Or maybe even 2nd half of season only. I can just think of rider after rider who probably could have been a great in sx but get hurt their first year. Tons of people called it, just hoped it wouldn't happen.
So will Anderson stop getting on the podium now because he doesn’t need to be scared of Prado making him look bad?
Just a guess, but I'm thinking recovery time won't be that long, and Kawi is saving him for outdoors where he has a legit shot at the title. No sense in having him come back for 6 or 7 rounds of SX and risk getting hurt again, when he can work on his outdoor setup, learn the aluminum frame, and come put swinging at Pala.
I never dreamed I would say this, but I think I might be starting to hate this sport. It's just the start, who is next?
That sucks
