Embezzlement is the fraudulent taking of personal property by someone to whom it was entrusted

I am not ignoring anything.  I have been very clear I have no opinion one way or the other with guilt......what I am saying is it was very risky for WMG to put this out publicly the way the did instead of just saying "Lucas Mirtle is no longer with WMG".

For some reason a few people in this thread just can't fathom how an entity with $1B in revenue doesn't just release emotional statements without HARD evidence lol.

1B entity's should not post statements like that....period.  Terrible business move and nothing positive comes from it as a business.

Then shoot them your resume man, since YOU are clearly smarter than their entire legal department.

The fact you keep wanting to die on this hill is wild. The arrogance of arguing with everyone on here about the mistakes WMG made is straight up delusional.

Do you truly think that statement wasn't intensely vetted by people who absolutely without a doubt know more about this than you do?

We may or may not find out.  Clearly your resume is void of any business management, HR, or PR experience.

I love that all of your posts get downvoted no matter how correct or reasonable they are 🤣

Oh man... I have this little band of emotionally fragile bed wetters who literally follow me around and downvote nearly everything I post.

It doesn't even have to be a controversial or snarky post.  It's also comments like.  "Hey man, nice bike",   Or "that race was awesome".

I literally could save someone from a burning building, come on VItal, tell the story and I would get downvoted.

You really have to question the mental state of individuals who go to such lengths.

I get a kick out of it....it tells me I am DEEP in their psyche.       To me, downvotes are a good thing on Vital.

Keep em comin boys....

🤣

Basically saying he has no idea where the claims are coming from

Was he able to get in what he needed to say in between product endorsements.

(Insert gif of DV doing the "raking in money" mimic....  😁

Wasserman’s team seems to disagree…

I know Mirtz is probably under a ton of stress and an emotional wreck, but that call to Pulp was a huge oof. Didn’t sound clear headed at all.

So you can't see how a very large agency in possession of clear evidence of wrongdoing from one of their SVPs might find it in their best interest to let all of their current and future clients know that they have zero tolerance for this type of behavior and will protect and defend their clients? You can't see how any waffling or hesitation in dealing with one of their agents ripping off a client might be bad for business? This isn't nearly as complicated as you seem to want it to be.

If Mirtl lawyers up and Wasserman doesn't have good evidence, they could throw one of their mid level employees over the bus as a scrapegoat.

Similar to all his social post since this happened. How this guy landed the hottest prospects in the sport is beyond belief.  Assume it’s because Dazzy trusted a fellow countryman

so perhaps the 2 biggest stars in our sport publicly fire their agent and accuse him of embezzlement, coupled w/ his agency firing him from the agency. This is all announced on IG knowing damn well it was going to start a shit storm of noise. So we come to the actual races and they just say "Meh, no comment"? Do I follow?? And not one other media member asked them anything?

Jason Anderson missed a golden opportunity to put “Mirtl” on his buttpatch before the A2 main.

There is a reason a statement is made like this in the public domain, and that reason is to prevent any possible future dealings by Agent X in the name of Talent X.

Wording may vary by infraction, but very much S.O.P. in the Agent/Talent/Sports management world when something goes sideways.

I was searching around to see how other sports agencies have handled firings before and came across this gem. Maybe Mirtl also just wanted some free rides!

How do these management arrangements work?  Is the management agreement/contract with WMG and Mirtl is appointed by them to manage the Lawrences?

$200,000? That's the damages? It seems like a fair amount, but once you get the courts involved, that just doesn't go far. And, of course, winning it versus recovering it is a whole new legal ballgame.

I think it's fair to say this one is a done deal.

A company like Wasserman will make sure the Lawrences are made whole and won't spend too much legal time/money chasing that out of the prior representation. They'll make sure any future possibilities for that dude are rocky, but they'll take their hit for the disposed rep and move on.

Im guilty of talking a ton of shit on Myrtle but dude I feel for him. I can’t imagine what he’s going through. Regardless,  this whole situation has been severely miss handled and I hope he’s innocent. Say what you want after the wood hammer drops but if they’re wrong, the Lawrence brows and wass are going to have to keep racing for a longggggg time.

Really depends on when certain deals are signed, but generally as an agent you work for your agency and as such the agency owns the commission the client is paying and you receive a salary/bonuses based on your client roster's income.

Now Mirtl could, in theory, still have ownership of some deals made before he and the Lawrence's joined W.M.G., and he would need to be made whole on those, but as an employee any endorsement deal or contract signed while in W.M.G. employ would be their commission and not Mirtl's.

1/29/2025 8:09am

Looks like Mirtl and Adam Bailey of WSX fame started and own Jettson clothing, one would assume in partnership with Jett.

https://www.linkedin.com/posts/adambailey41_its-incredibly-special-when-an-athletes-activity-7206231969234321408-7bq3

I wonder if they still do and what other outside the Wassermen group deals Lucas has with the Lawrences that he will now untangle, one would assume, himself from?

Didn't go through all 27 pages, but did anyone find it slightly odd that the Lawrence's statement mentioned a misappropriation of personal funds from their business account?
