Jorge rode amazingly well for a guy who sustained a concussion that slowed his training and testing time. He was great early in the main, then turned into to a slowly fading racer. I'm hoping it was just first race jitters that caused the fade, and not lack of fitness. It's hard to play catch up with your fitness during the season when every week will only break you down with training and racing on the weekends. Yes these guys are athletes, but 31 weekends of racing at the highest level will take its toll. Maybe his training program is designed to peak mid-season? These questions I don't have answers to, but it's always fun to speculate. Either way, I'm pumped that he's looking good and hope he has a great season.

He’ll be a consistent front-ish runner by mid-season.
Are there Prado bots or something?
You can think he’ll get better but I was not impressed by anything with his riding last night. He’s an incredible starter and has generally been a start and hold on rider until he was finally able to outlast the competition. Getting starts and sprinting isn’t new for him
I just hope him ,Jett,Eli,chase and all of them stay healthy until Hangtown!! The nationals will be must see this summer🔥🔥
Not being a hater as I like the guy. However, I only see him getting good starts and getting in the way unless it's muddy. He doesn't have top 5 sx skills yet. Maybe next year.

Take it easy on the guy, he threw himself is the gnarlest series on the planet with minimal experience.
Once his riding became defensive, it looked like he was drowning in armpump. We'll never know. Although, after he fell, he did shake out his arm.
He had a great heat race at 8 laps or whatever it is. 20min main with all that heat will take some getting used to, again.
He's a Champion, he'll figure it out. It's what they do!
Kind of a hot take, but I think he will win a heat race and finish on the podium in the main before the end of the SX season.
Huge fan. Easy to like. As humble as a champ can be and nice.
Question…how many positions did the whoops cost him? Even without the wipeout he looked pretty bad in them compared to most. Clips of riders training on perfectly groomed tracks drives me crazy. Beat the hell out of the track like the race mains. Cup and rut the hell out of the whoops. Now it’s time to practice.
Not a bad start at all but from what I saw later in the race the guy better learn how to hold his line or he’s gonna get hurt. Maybe he got a bit of arm pump also. Noticed him shaking his hands after he fell.
He looked good in parts of track and his corner speed seemed good. Other parts of the track he seemed to struggle like the whoops and some rythyms. Might have just been A1 jitters. I dont see him winning, some top tens are realistic. But like with everyone else, there will be a variety of results this year.
He’s had less than a month on that bike, the first aluminium framed bike he’s ridden in his career, so all things considered, a good start. I think at this stage of the season he’s really just looking for positives to take away from each race and there was a few last night. I didn’t really like the second half of his main, he was riding too defensive, but he will learn
This is next year from what you are comparing him to.
Last year he just wanted to show his speed on the track and not get in the way of the full time 2024 racers all for his contract offers which he did extremely well.
This year He still needs to gain confidence and entry speed in woops. Slower entry speeds and riding a bucking bronco will greatly tire out a rider both mentally and physically.
In did like his attack mode for 2025
He has very limited time on the bike due to head injury and broken finger. He showed good speed in the qualifier and early in the race. I don’t think some top 5s later in the season is unrealistic.
His corner speed is phenomenal, very impressed. Whoops need some work, but I think he'll be fine.
Being on those names pace on your first ever (assuming slowest) competitive sx race is quite respectable
Isn’t it? Jeesh. Everytime the camera was on him, his corner speed blew me away.
We’re lucky to have him here. Adds to the series. Can’t wait for the rest of the season for all these guys
Yeah was there and impressed especially in the heat race. Rewatched the broadcast And he was able to cut down in those turn as good as anything I've seen from Cooper Webb.
He sounds excited to work on a couple whoop settings this week and if he can still cut down like that in bowl turns with those starts....could get interesting.
If they remove the whoops section its possible. But not gonna happen with SX whoops. He almost died every lap. He cant skim or jump them. But i was impressed with his starts and speed .
Pit Row
I was abit shocked to hear in his interview with lewis he first broke his pinky then hit his head so he only had 3.5 weeks to prepare on a new bike.
From the races he had great corner speed just was abit timid in the whoops but not even 1months on the bike, it's just going to be upwards from here
There's 17 rounds. The bike isn't even properly set up after 3 weeks of testing. He'll probably still be one of the slower riders in the whoops by the end of this year but he should improve significantly every single week now.
Wait until old cross Jump Jorge shows up, this place will lose its mind!
His bike ,gear and style looked amazing. He was the best looking rider out there at A1. Was glad to see him get a good start. He's going to definitely get better each round.
I’m gonna guess that as he spends more time in the whoops and more time with Jason…his bike will get stiffer and he’ll stop “jumping” the whoops.
But, I could be wrong…
I thought he rode a smart race. I can't help but think he is going to dial it up when he's in shape.
He is highly motivated.
He doesn’t make excuses and tells it like it is. I like that about him
Jorge is such a great addition to the series
Wait one damn minute! I keep hearing that Americans don’t like foreigners in our Supercross…? 🤣
The 3.5 total weeks of prep is definitely going to make it hard to get through the whoops. Mxgp guys are known for having muuuch softer settings than the americans, so hes probably on a much softer bike than he should be just to be comfortable. I’m sure as he gets faster and faster and more comfortable theyll stiffen the bike up more and more and that should help him out as he gets deeper into the season.
I think this guy is going to be crazy at the speedway round(s) (Daytona).
