The way it's being promoted, am I the only one that feels that next year there will be no sx champ, or mx champ.
Just one Supermotocross Champion.
Yeah I don’t feel like that, not sure where you’re getting that
You are the only one..
There is a Million dollar bonus for each, plus the SMX money. That’s not going to change
I love being able to watch extra races, but I wish they would treat it like Monster Cup; let the previous year's winners run the number one during SMX, but stop with the different color numbers/backgrounds during the regular season, and definitely stop treating a three race series like it's an equal championship to SX's 17 & MX's 11 races. It's a giant payday, and that's it.

Just renewed my streaming subscription, watching "smx preview" they don't differentiate between each series, they just crap on about the smx champion.
You’re not wrong; until the SMX is actually hard to qualify for it’s basically meaningless other then more entertainment for us.
I don’t see them getting rid of SX and MX championships ultimately though. SMX relies on a paycheck from NBC.
I agree about not treating the final three SMX races like it's at the same level as the SX or National championships. It's only three races.
Ok, so to all that disagree with me, FU.
I went to a sports BBQ yesterday, talking in a group and I finally got to steer the conversation to Motocross, and only one guy had any idea, ( younger ) stated Deegan is the World super motocross champion.
The group uninterested with me trying to explain that it's actually sx, then mx, then an irrelavent shoot-out. Also to pointing out that Deagan didn't win the sx and is only a 250 champ, not even on a real bike.
Seems to me that “SuperMotorcross” is the rebranding of MX-SX racing in America by the promoters that established their new brand…new name…indeed, a newly and wholly “owned name” that is theirs and the FIM ain’t a part of nor can they infringe on the ip aspect of it.
That’s what I’m seeing.
Settle down Bro..... your Super Jett fix is coming.
Ah that’s right, he was riding a fake bike. Deegan isn’t real. He is AI generated
You actually this stupid or just trolling?
you sound super fun at parties.
You sound like a brain surgeon.....I think you're in the wrong thread....

....oooo I missed this little gold nugget.
It's all right there....now this thread makes a little more sense.
Fear/anger/resentment by a Jett fan over Deegan....

Yes, it is just you.
“Supermotocross” sounds a little silly and contrived to me. I’m not complaining about the racing or the concept. But inventing a new word seems goofy. Why don’t we call Daytona a supermotocross race since the track is quite different than a typical supercross track? I get it, it’s marketing. I’m just being cranky.
It could have been the Monster Triple Crown Cup and kept it all separate from the completely different SX and MX championships. I like the format and the hybrid tracks, but they really had to stick it to WSX and call it the superdooper "world championship" and now they're committed to it and trying to make it something it's not nor ever will be.
I couldn't agree more. The World championship part really grinds me. I'd be OK with Grand National or similar but hearing that Deegan and Jett are world champions because they won the end of season add on races is just weird. I'll go back to yelling at the clouds now.
You have 20/20 crystal ball vision, my friend. My take is that this whole thing is a Feld play to completely control the sport by the end of the decade. Or what you said.
It’s about monetizing intellectual property. Monster Cup is already trademarked. Guess who owns the trademark to SMX?
Is this finally a year where people arent saying mOsT sTaCkEd fIeLd EvAr!!1 ?
