Seeing DV as part of the french smx announcing crew and the comments about him being the only one whos not afraid to tell it like it is made me want to try to make a plea 1 last time. As someone who listens to podcasts all day long at work thats 8 hours of new content per day to listen to. Thank god this year a lot of new moto podcasts have come out so theres a lot to choose from. I’m trying to avoid listening to anything about politics because it has slowly crept into every aspect of life and is hard to get away from when you need a break from it.

As someone who was one of the first ppl who listened to DV’s english podcast and listened to every single episode I feel like when he gave up on the english version we lost a valuable voice in the moto podcast space. Its true that DV is willing to give his raw opinion and is not afraid to offend some riders as long as hes being honest. His opinion as a former top 1% rider as well is extremely insightful and what he says you listen to, as well as the riders. Since he went french only weve lost that perspective from the english moto podcast world. So my plea to DV is to try it one more time. Rome wasnt built in a day and I know for a fact if you stuck with it you would have kept growing. Maybe you need to also film the podcasts to upload to youtube?

If you miss his english language podcast and want to see him give it 1 more try let him know in the comments. The sport is worse off without DV’s insightfulness and rawness in podcast form.

I definitely miss DV’s English language podcasts, but I understand why he would focus on the more popular French ones.

Do you understand how upset I am that French listeners get DV and we (English) listeners are stuck with Ricky?

He’s going to be so good on the broadcast, can we watch with subtitles?

Hopefully, if so the french viewing numbers may be very good.

Maybe they could get Ricky to do the English voiceover for DV’s French broadcast. That would be sweet! (in Eric Cartman’s voice)

I assume you're kidding.  RC can barely speak English.

Yeah I even tried an AI program to translate it to English but it was way too painful to listen to beyond 60 seconds! Grinning

Glad I'm not the only one who wished I spoke French.

I've been wanting to learn a second language, perhaps this is the motivating factor

DV's the only potentially interesting guy on that french announcers crew -even though I have no clue how good he'll be live and won't be there at every race.

The three others will just be quacking and blabbering around as usual, signaling you everything you already know or you've already noticed yourself.

Can you watch the French broadcast in the USA? Peacock or the international broadcast? I have peacock but want to check the French or even Spanish broadcasts.

Pichon could have been a good call, too.

Learning a 2nd language is easy. I speak about 20 Chinese is my last language I,m learning. It’s very similar to Native American, there was 400 Indian languages here at 1 time.  The Indian language I speak is Iroquoin it’s 30k yrs old. DV probably don’t know but the French & Indians lived together here since 1524 fought wars together made babies.  Most towns r Indian named in Wi. But some r Indian & French in Wi. Like Eau Claire it means clear waters after the river. Jean Nicolet discovered Bay of the Puants. Puants is nickname for the Winnebago tribe that was there. He name it Fort Howard a war with the UK ended in FH . With the revolutionary war. Later FH. Name was changed to Green Bay because the color of the bay. Jean was looked seen as a deity- a God.  A 30 ft tall painting is in the courthouse downtown. My original spelling of my name is French Indian     Odd spacing g uh y eh t, then changed Gooy ett, then Gooi et ta.  The Serbians in Chicago called me that which shocked me.  Ok Mr Gooi et ta I know you like your tools . So we got you a very good truck. Haha with there accent it sounds super funny.  Then the name was changed again in a Indian boarding school , to make it more English & easier to pronounce.  Guyette Guy is French surname for guide or leader.  Indian it meant the Forrest & invisible warrior of the Forrest.  There was no capital letters in your name long ago.  95 we drilled under the  Ottawa River 4 a big pipeline girlfriends taught me some French. Yrs later I went to Quebec on my own trucking , now I hv to learn it better. I bought tapes & listened to them driving up there.  But I was brushing up on my Italian at the time listening to that too.  I still mix the 2 languages speaking French.  Only learn 1 language at a time.  Like ordering a cheeseburger, fromage emonzo.

Pro125 is tough to read, and I would be willing to bet that he has undiagnosed ADHD, but the shit he says is interesting and informative. This dude is a diamond disguised as a lump of coal.

You can switch to Spanish on Peacock, so you'll most likely be able to watch in French as well.

I know with the international pass you can switch between English and Spanish and next year French will be available.

Pichon could have been a good call, too.

Probably the best of all the French. He's got a bionic eye as far as what's going on track.

But he's not on the list...

Oh at least, with Musquin, you'll learn some basic french that can be useful in many situations, especially if you have nothing to say.

You know 20 languages? You should be an agent of the government in your spare time when you are not trucking or avoiding the meat stealing woman.

Who says I,m not. Lol . I hv senator pals & taught them a little Iroquoin . They dig it kinda of like a secret 2nd language of there territory and a connection to people of 500 yrs ago. I,m siten at a dp lot in Cleveland all day. After working on the trk . I,ll practice a language to hv something to do.  Since DV is a Great speaker. I wish he would talk about his 125 racing days. His last yr on a 125 in the GP,s he beat Chiodi a little bit.  That’s like beating RC on a 125 in 97-99.  I saw him at Minneapolis sx in 97 . He got 2nd to Windham KW was Really on & I mean Really on.  Check out the Look back pic IMG 0395 1

Now you did it. Next up is a disjointed story on his exploits with his side hustle as a federal intelligence agent doing some kinda surveillance at truck stops.
