Oh happy day......
I guess you never watched Race Day Live.
I hope he is not doing the in stadium announcing as well. Very hard on the ears.

I posted the following in the 2025 Supercross Announcers thread.
https://www.supermotocross.com/2025-smx-world-championship-broadcast-schedule/
Dan Hubbard is out for RDL. AC taking his spot.
In Dan’s defense. Last year I ran into him at the Barber Motorcycle Museum the day after the Birmingham SX. And he was one of the nicest in the industry I’ve ever met. I swear we talked at least half an hour. About that SX round. Street bikes. Vintage bikes. I showed him pics of my bikes. Etc. and it was a genuine, interesting moto head conversation. Really personable guy.
Brayton and AC will be fine, I just wish we could get Holley back.
I've been critical of Dan (not to the level of many here)....it's good to hear a real life encounter like that. Sometimes we forget these peeps are just normal people with quirks and flaws just like the rest of us.
Now....if we could just get rid of Will Christien.... 🤣 I'm sure she's a nice person too....but oh my, she is bad.
RDL was never the same after Uncle Jim left.
I pretty much stopped watching it.
Dan meant well but I think we can all agree, JB and AC will be better for RDL. JB and AC have been spending a lot of time in the off season practicing and preparing for this new role. Weigandt will also join in on some rounds.
Sweet I don't have to hear my friend call him Ricky Johnson wannabe anymore.
Never heard of the guy. I think it’s way ovr do . Get a Japanese guy with high enthusiasm & Energy. Maybe it would bring some Asians into the sport some how. I think it’s strange there is None. Except for the engineers on the teams.
If you're talking about Japanese riders, there aren't that many that race at the professional level in the US, but the following two are from Japan.
Jo Shimoda is from Suzuka.
Takumu Yokosawa is from Yahaba.
Cool but I was talking about a announcer . That Japan rider that was on a rm125 was rad yrs ago and pretty fast. These cab lights r soo bad I can hardly see.
Akira Watanabe
Not a bad guy but man was he hard on the ears.
He sucked at his job?
I agree. Dan is an awesome human.
Pit Row
We should also get a Peruvian and maybe even a couple of Chileans in there. Untapped markets that surely will help bring more people into the sport. Waaayyy overdue.
You must not have watched the Mini-O's. They where well represented.
Even if moto is dying a slow death here it's growing elsewhere.
I was being facetious but cool that other countries are catching the moto bug.
Anyway, JB and AC on RDL will be fun, can’t wait to tune in
Anyone else miss RDL from a few years ago? Yes Uncle Jim and DB were great but I loved the coverage. We got to see more laps, more riders, not just one or two of the top riders. Just like when attending a SX in person, I love watching the first practice sessions and watching everyone make mistakes but also start putting the track together.
Now RDL, regardless of who is in the booth seems like too much of a production. I believe only "core" fans realy tune in but I could be wrong.
Good riddance.
I think moving to Adam and Justin two former riders they’ll move in the direction of showing more qualifying and less background stories on the riders. Time will tell.
Oh I thought it said Chinese. Lol Ye-haw hellow. Tap the Chinese market , what is there a billlion people. Ha ld of h2o Chippewa,Wi. To Kenosha by lake Mi.
How could they keep Screech there?
I was at SMX Ft Worth on Friday morning, and ran into a guy with an SMX jacket on and said hey do you know where I'm supposed to go? He started talking and I realized it was Dan. He walked with me and my son all of the way to where we supposed to go grab our passes. Went out of his way to help us and had 0 obligation to do so...anyway, super nice guy
I'm seeing a lot of confusion that happens with RC as an announcer as well. No one is saying that Dan is a bad guy or that RC isn't the GOAT. I know plenty of good people that don't deserve a spot in the announcer's booth because they wouldn't be good at it.
Agreed he seems like a great guy, has golden retriever energy, I mean that as a compliment. seems like a positive guy and there usually fun to be around, but I don’t think he was right for RDL.
