The air forks have gotten a lot better. A little bit more R&D and they will be just as good or better, lighter more adjustable.and cheeper. A lot of pros are running air or air assist forks

I’m don’t think most of them are the single air chamber tech that’s in the stockers.

Yes I have, but not the latest gen. I’m not saying they are junk, but the biggest gripe consumers have with the bikes is the air forks. Yes they offer some flexibility for different riders but once we get our bikes set up it’s not like we constantly change spring rates so the constant checking and adjusting air pressure is a nuisance.

Pros also have access to professional suspension tuners and all the goodies. Us normal people don’t typically have that unless we wanna spend lots of coin. Plus we don’t wanna be spending all kinds of money to make the fork maybe 75% as good as a typical KYB revalve. I hear excuses about the air fork all the time. The fact is most suspension tuners spend a considerable amount of time coming up with a “fix” or spring conversion kits for the garbage air fork just to make it somewhat decent. KTM just won’t give up on “reinventing” the fork when all us customers want is a good fork that comes stock on the bike. Whether it be KYB, Ohlins, Showa or whatever. Something that’s proven to be a solid platform and at most we can send off to be revalved and be happy.

Yes it did improve my riding experience which is what matters. The front end grip was improved. Better traction in flat corners, the front tire was kind of vague with the air set up, almost skatey. I have better feel for what’s it’s doing on spring. YMMV I don’t know? You work for wp or something? lol I don’t know why any of this matters to you.

Haha all good my dude! Trust me I don’t take myself or this forum that seriously.

the Simpson gif reminds me of sideshow bob stepping on the rakes. I could say that an apt comparison to assangeMX right now. I could say that, I’m not but I could.

Steak = a thick slice of meat.

Stake = a piece of wood that's driven into the ground.

1. Give up on WP, run KYB

2. Stop buying shitty Brands and resurecting them.

3. Reduce the model range, I mean come on.

4 Develop competitive 50, 65, 85 cc Four Stroke Mx Bikes.

Meth is a hell of a drug. Did you say 4 stroke 50, 65, and 85? Who in the hell wants that.

Reduce the model range but develop 3 new mini bikes no one wants? Put down the pipe.

I really like my air forks on my 2023 Gas Gas Factory Edition. Just have to spend 30 seconds before each moto to check pressure. The new air forks barely even fluctuate during the day compared to the older WPs.

They should have rebranded GasGas as Penton when they took over!

Unfortunately some dirtbag who’s name isn’t worth mentioning owns the penton trademark and is putting it on bikes from alibaba.

It's also worth mentioning Terry Everrett probably doesn't really own the name, at least in a defensible legal sense, if the Penton family wanted it enough to fight for it in court.

He never purchased the rights or anything, just waited for a expiry and registered it to his name. The courts have held up time and again, historical owners' rights to lapsed trademarks where there is still demonstrable commercial value.

Does anyone know the figure payed to absorb Husqvarna and GasGas?

I'm not sure 'restructure' is the word I'd be using in the quaint little town of Mattighoffen this morning.

KYB spring fork is better on 80% of the track. If you over jump, have high speed impact or start to lose control, the air fork is better. The way the air fork ramps up compared to the spring linear progression; the air fork is more stable deep into the stroke.

Maybe maintaining only the production of Gasgas trial bikes would have been enough...

Dead SXS inventory is killing dealers right now. At 25k a pop the interest adds up quick.
