That's Rick Ryan at the Daytona supercross in 1987. Which he won.... guess what the engine cases looked like in that motor?
Rick Ryan, who was the expert witness at the track closing lawsuit trial?

This is a quote from a well known person (in certain circles) that purchased that EXACT bike. I know...you're at your key board... Mustering up some BS. .And you know... well you know all. Don't ya.
Coaching
The main goal in coaching is not only to teach but encourage self-training to be able to acquire independent knowledge and skills in professional activity. According to experts, coaching may be particularly effective in times of changes and difficulties for a leader. It might be promotion, challenging tasks, having to make tough decisions for example. When you get promoted to a top-manager level you might find out how increasingly significant feedback to your decisions becomes, in times when you start receiving less of it and the position requirements growing tougher. Besides, receiving coaching services you may see your business and personal skills grow that weren’t used before especially when time for their development is limited.
Sounds like something you are familiar with.
Again- Happy thanksgiving to Vital and Vitards (they are not the same).
As Albert Einstein said.
“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” He's right. And it's on display here in full color.
Double dildo fast is pretty quick.
Very... sounds like a experienced user. That enjoys his work. A lot! IMO
Somebody is having some Thanksgiving drinks.
I’m here for it.
If you were a buyer of Husky or Gas Gas, what exactly would you be buying? To me that's the problem with this. KTM bought both, shed the all of the existing tooling and manufacturing and essentially only paid for the name. So a buyer would be buying the name only because let's face it the tooling and manufacturing is all KTM now. I always thought this was a strange way to go about it. And then there was Husaberg, to me a real innovative brand. I think KTM bought them basically for some technology (oh and the "Ready To Race" slogan) as that whole entire brand, name and manufacturing, was basically trashed in a short period of time. I guess it could also be said that KTM bought that brand as a competitor and then eliminated that competition. To me they have been making some odd decisions for a while now.
I often read vital and think to myself “I bet the average blood alcohol level of these posts is like .25%”
I hope he is drunk and not that bad at English.

Pit Row
I agree that they should have tried to differentiate more, but it probably should have been a lot more than just 3 different tiers of race bikes. I feel like the problem isnt so much the 3 brands, its that the 3 brands had the same bikes that only catered to a small segment of the market. If ktm only wants to sell dirt bikes and a couple street bikes then they should be trying to grab a bigger market share.
The dirt bike/street bike market is already small, but then when they only go for the racing segment thats an even smaller slice of the pie. They only sell mx and gncc race bikes. For entry level 50cc bikes you can only buy 2 stroke race 50’s. Most ppl who ride dont race and especially kids. Why dont they have a pw50 competitor? Or a crf50 competitor, or klx110 competitor. A brand new crf125f beginner bike from honda is $3499 msrp. Ktm doesnt have any competitor to that.
I know ktm’s mantra is ready to race, but shouldnt they be trying to capture the whole market? I’m obviously not an expert here and maybe I’m wrong, but I just feel like theyre missing out on a lot of sales by not selling to the general public. If they wanted gas gas to be the entry level brand maybe instead of selling the same race 250f with a few lower quality parts, instead they made an entire new line of entry level bikes that are competitors to the lower end honda, kawi bikes. Below 250f ktm is all 2 strokes. I feel like they need some entry level 4 strokes from 50cc, to 110cc, to 125cc, to 230cc etc.
Their entry level bikes are electrics, that's their PW50 competitors, SX-E2, E3 and E5.
Edit: sorry, ofc they do, 50SX, 65SX, 85SX.
Honestly sales have slowed down in the past couple of years, not just for PMG, but what's really killing them is the melting down of the bicycle market, most of their losses come from this division.
The damage has been done. Everyone went out and bought the factory edition bikes and proved to KTM that some of you guys will pay way to much for a dirtbike.
If I could get the same customers to pay extra for a house with Red Bull graphics, I could own a factory edition.
Now might be a good time to stand behind your post and admit you are wrong to all of us or you can continue to be the most prominent hypocrite on vital.
Doesn’t that mess up the turbulent air flow?
Most likely should’ve never bought Gas Gas but since they did should’ve rebranded that with entry level bikes, ala ttr125, crf150, etc. Have KTM as the race MX models and Husky as the off road models. Or KTM has all the factory edition level bikes both M ad off road and then Husky has the standard level models. At least than the difference between “brands” would’ve been obvious.
I'm sure this wouldn't have prevented all (or even much of) their problems, but I think they should have taken a lesson from Yamaha with the 2 strokes. I can see wanting to keep development of the 4 strokes on the cutting edge, as they're being raced at the highest level But the 2 strokes aren't, and once they were counterbalanced, they were excellent. If they left them alone, they could have been like the YZ 2 strokes for Yamaha in that R & D was done years ago (yes, the YZs were updated recently, but they're still the same basic bike) but they keep selling every unit they make. At that point, it's a cash cow. On the other hand, when you're racking up R & D costs then having to sell at a discount, that's never a good formula. The 2022 125, 150, and 250 SX models could have sold virtually unchanged for years. No TPI or TBI needed on any 2 stroke - just keep it cheap and simple. That's part of the appeal of the YZ.
So true!
I understand you are hardcore 2 stroke. In my area a lot of folks bought the 2 stroke because it was EFI. Both 2 stroke and 4 stroke guys.
The only performance complaints I hear are on this site about the 125's.
I do currently have a 2 stroke, but I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore 2 stroke guy. I've had both 2 and 4 strokes, and will probably go back to a 4 stroke next year. I don't doubt the performance of the new TBI 2 strokes - I just wonder if it was the best business move, for the reasons I mentioned. If it brought a whole set of new buyers to the brand, then maybe it was. I also know guys who bought a Yamaha because they wanted old school simplicity. I can sure see the appeal of what Yamaha is doing with the YZ.
Triumph Motorcyles (Bloor Holdings) and Bajaj are in a non-equity partnership.
Does this change Bajaj's willingness to help or stay with PMG?
They own 37% of the company and unsuccessfully attempted to become majority shareholder to take over control/save it.
I would say no.
