Why would the promoter offer Deegan a substantial amount of money when the Lawrence boys alone are a big enough draw card to sell the event out? They would be making less money in doing so. You dont spend more to earn less. Hell having Webb also is overkill already ,
Theres not much money in Australian sports. If the Lawrence boys had any impact on Deegan getting paid. It could be a case of we cant pay you to race because all our money has gone to Jett and Hunter. No way its we cant pay you because Jett and Hunter said so.
Though I just cant see any situation where Deegan was going to fly to Australia for a single race regardless of the pay. Why would he jeopardise his Supercross prep for 2025 to race a bunch of nobodies overseas? If proving himself at MX Des Nations wasnt worth going overseas to race. He was never going to be racing in Australia.
If the Lawrence boys had wronged him financially in anyway he would call them out. Like Anderson he stirred the pot a bit. But he hasnt said anything about them. Only one who has is Cooksey and Deegans mechanic eho said he was spot on. Except theres a conflicting story that Anderson was never going. And Deegsn is free to ride if he wants. Just wont get paid for it. Which means Cooksey is not even close to spot on if that’s true.
Deegans mechanic has been known to bend the truth to twist the narrative before. Cooksey talks some serious shit. Or gets bad information/ puts his spin on it.
I'm going to guess that it's a risk/reward factor.
Haiden and El Hombre will race hard. That's not a bad thing at all.
But, the risk of getting injured for a one off event, and missing A1 is greater with those two racing.
If the conditions for the Lawrences doing AusX excluded Deegan and Anderson, I'd hope and expect that Freise wasn't invited to the party either.

I actually kind of get it. Imagine it’s just a one of race that doesn’t mean anything. Your focused on supercross. Then HD and A line up with an opportunity to take out a Lawrence to try to prove some weird point at a race that doesn’t matter.
HD and A would be going hard out with a chip on their shoulder. Jett and Hunter would just be cruising around staying healthy and meeting fans.
