So I've heard a lot lately that pierer mobility caused a lot of problems for Prado to exit the team and join Kawasaki, they even caused problems in the last races of the season. Did someone saw any champion T-Shirt from the team when Prado won in Cozar this year? Only Davide and his mechanic where there to recieve the champion. Does anyone know anything else about this? In Spain no one want to talk about it till the official announcement

And no pit in the picture

Maybe it has more to do with Pierer being broke and less about Prado leaving to Kawasaki.

This is consistent with other things we've seen about the brand: Kailub Russel's departure from AMA MX series, Cairoli unable to secure funding for his ride.

That team is 100% business with no emotional loyalties to their champs.

I have no facts to back this up, but I wonder if in the age today where almost every rider is represented by an agent, if that's not where the friction is caused. I can see where there could be a huge divide and agents talking out of both sides of their mouths when talking to rider and team. Again, I could be wrong...

As long as the championship bonus check cashed I wouldn't worry too much about a dozen people on a podium not wearing those ridiculous backwards looking number 1 t-shirts. No big deal either if Pit wasn't there to give him a high five. Nothings more awkward then when the boss shows up to a party

Did Lewis say in the LVK pod that the Prado to Kawi USA will be announced next Monday?

How would an agent prevent KTM from screen printing some $12 T Shirts for Prado's guys?

I mean, it's not a big deal. It's just business. But it is pretty clear what the corporate culture is over there.

Re-Watch Tixier his championship winning, same story because he went to Kawasaki CLS.

Add in just leaving Toby Price out in the cold as well.

He's wondering if perhaps the agents are playing hardball and that's causing bad blood from the teams towards the riders. Thus, the team has no desire to go above and beyond for the rider.

It's still pretty clear what is going on if you have worked in team/corporate enviros. Of course there will be disputes over terms. That's normal. And of course management may choose not to play ball. That's normal, too.

But, generally, in places that they allow folks to run their own personnel, there's a lot of little shit that is evident and personal in nature. And I'm not even saying Pierer should honor those practices. I am just saying we already know they don't.

Not saying an agent would prevent the shirts. I'm saying an agent probably soured the relationship between Prado and the team. Again, I could be wrong, but I could see a scenario where the team was simply "done" with Prado by the end of the season, Even if Jorge himself didn't do or say anything himself. Like said in Toby McGuire,  "its show business, not show friends".

But we have a repeated, many times case of "soured relationships" and the same party just keeps popping up. Including multiple with Series Champions, the Best Athletes at their respective sports.  We are not talking about failed relationships. We are talking unprecedented successes. And once again, IT DOES NOT MATTER. But we all know the environment.

Not sure why the staff didn't have championship shirts but Prado had one and the De Carli team and GasGas seem genuinely pumped for him.

C'mon, they still use Musquin as a boat anchor even though he just got them one minor title in ten years...

If that's not loyalty...

Which makes it even more fucked up how shitty Decoster treated Kailub Russell given that KR sold 10x more KTMs than Marv ever did.

Didn't, Rickey, James, Eli and sure a lot more leave the team they won championships with.

Seems normal.

Leaving a team is normal. That's business. This is just the little shit: not acknowledging that guy (and his staff's) championship. Which is fine. It just is what it is at a place of employment.

As much as I admire KR, he did have a massive crash prior to the season and wasn't even scoring points consistently. A factory bike not scoring points is probably a hard thing to explain to the brass. Maybe he can rub their noses in it next year!

Maybe they could point on all of his GNCC titles and say ”let him have this one”. I bet that some other factory KTM rider have cost them more by sitting out a whole national series and blaming different things while riding local races at home.

Exactly, the whole point of him being on the Team was a Thank You for what he had done for the brand.  Then Decoster decided to be a douche bag about it.

*Downvote this post if you worship Decoster and can't handle the truth.

RD doesn't strike me as someone that puts much stock in off-road racing. Which is sad given its KTM's bread and butter, or used to be.
