Bet the triumph dealers are loving their $20k displays they had to buy to get bikes.  It blows my mind the manufacturer's stiff them with this stuff making it almost impossible to make money.  They seem like a great bike but even selling them at full retail they would have to sell 15 bikes or so.  Not as big of a deal if you've been making dirt bikes for a long time and have a bunch of models but this is nuts with one model that is new.

That one has a full Akrapovich exhaust on it too. Maybe it was the demo bike for the dealer?

So what I'm getting out of this is Vital complained about the msrp for a first model year bike...but then Vital complains when 24 models are marked down to a lower price in order to make room for the 25s. What does Vital say they should be priced then? Because neither price point so far has pleased the forum🤣

That has to be a lure you in price, most places look like about 800 off.

Absolutely correct. The economy here isn't good and it's horrible throughout the rest of the world. Everyone is hurting.

Like gosh man I understand constructive criticism but it’s almost like a lot of these people want Triumph to fail for their entertainment rather than welcome a new manufacture that’s adding jobs and seats to the industry, so they moan and complain about everything possible. Not everyone but the portion that has that thought process seems to be very very vocal.

Look back at history and you will find that Triumph twins were a Mx race staple before the 2 strokes came along.

Every other manufacturer has had their 24’s on the floor for over a year… How long have Triumphs been on the floor?

I’m sure they have 25’s coming out soon, the economy is in the toilet, interest rates on bikes are stupid high and not many can plunk down 8-10g cash on a new ride. Regardless of the fact they came late to the party they’ve got to play the same game every other dealership is at the moment. I’m heading to buy a new 24.5 Husky tomorrow for 4K off the msrp. This is just where things are right now.

Bike price wars are going to start soon with the increase of so many new mfg's... So wait it out and you'll be able to get new bikes for $4k less than they do now.

They are $9k local to me, and there are quite a few in stock. I'm waiting till January then I'll walk in with cash and see how low I can get them to go.

Or get then to agree on a price if you finance, then pull out your wad of 100s

Do resurch on interest rates over the years and you will quickly learn todays interest rates are actually very good.

I always finance long enough to let the dealer get their money, then pay it off after about 6 months.

It still amazes me how many people think cash means a thing to a dealer.

If I'm a dealer and two guys are in front of me offering the same amount of money on the same bike. One has cash and one is financing I'm selling to the guy who is financing all day long.

Side note and hot tip if you are planning on purchasing any vehicle and paying cash work the deal out as if you are financing it first and then after all numbers are agreed upon tell them you will just pay cash. You will every time get a better price than if you walked in as a cash customer.

Or make sure no prepayment penalty and then just pay it off the next month to get the better price

That's actually my preferred method because you are still letting the dealer wet his beak. Hopefully you'll get a good relationship with your dealer going forward instead of a combative relationship.

Every dealer does this with all of the bike brands. They post some bullshit price to get you in the door then tack on $2k in setup, freight, dealer prep, etc bullshit.

Last bike I bought in 2022 the dealer literally told me the "minimum" price he had to sell the bike for after I negotiated him down on price and he tried to tack on $900 of shit. He said they are not "allowed" to sell below a certain amount, so they'll lower the "sale price" to whatever and just subsidize the difference elsewhere in fees or what have you. Its a complete fucking scam - dealers should just post the OTD price.

Ya they can definitely sell below a certain amount, they just can’t advertise it below a certain amount due to MAP  pricing policies.
