Great show so far.
For those that haven't listened yet, he dropped a little nugget that he and McGrath are producing a documentary called Moto 90s. Should be out in "a little less than a year".
Fro's telling some great stories. Michael Lindsay has said two words I think. ha.
Fro was killing it, I didn't want to cut him off. He was only on the show for about an hour and a half.
A smart man knows when to be quiet. 👍 Looking forward to your part of the show!
Fro was very insightful and actually cleared up a few myths from back in the day. Good stuff.
Good strategy Michael! Bet that was hard for you, woulda been hard for me too haha! We’re both talkers 😂

Should be a pretty cool documentary with Vince Vaughn doing the naration.
Fro is core
Yes, really looking forward to it and the Ricky doc.
Emig is a cool dude.
I agree Emig is super cool and I like his uncensored free flowing talk on this podcast rather than how you have to be professional on a broadcast.
Yeah until he went all nerdy talking about grips. Lol . True he was 1 of the best hot weather racers . 91 Millville all the other riders hid in front of a fan. Emig sat on the back of the box van in his pants , socks , no shirt of course the Norwegian blondes 16 yr olds starred at him. I could tell he liked the 94 & muggy. My hot chic is asking dumb questions like is he fast. I say no that’s why Kawi fired him, he can’t win. He better start or he’ll get canned again. Is his bike fast. No it,s slow but getting faster. Does he make alot of money. Yeah but for how long he didn’t win nothing yet. Can you beat him. Yeah I could beat him and I would today if my shock wasn’t broke. I was just being honest he looked at me like why you picking on me look. He’s 17 & I,m 22 so I get that. . Emig ,s best race to date 3-3 or 4-4 . Wake up call buddy. Thank me for that later. He never talks about it anymore but his dad built stock car chassis. I,m sure he was at the track and the drivers coming around. Stock car racing is f ing hardcore . Best way to learn race craft. Emig,s race craft was Really good. Funny when he said the 91 etc yz125 was the slowest piece of shit. Because it was kinda looked cool but not really. I was offered a free 91 after my 1st race ever a full gate of 48 125a I won the 1st moto. On a 87 cr125 felt 4 times faster than a 91.
Hearing Emigs thoughts on the dealer signing days made me a fan all over again.
Being a kid and going to the dealers the day before SX was always fun, getting to meet your heroes and occasionally getting some 1x1 time with them to ask questions was always great. Nice to know there was at least one rider that saw it as an opportunity and not a requirement
I gotta know, Since you seem to be an OTR truck driver. How do you manage to pass the whizz quiz and other random tests.
I want to party with Emig
He was great.
Hopefully he'll come back again.
He was great. The Troy Lee airplane story was hilarious. You'd get 15 years if you did that now 😝
I went to the 94 Minneapolis supercross when I was 15. On the Sunday following we went to a dealership and Emig was there. He was just standing around talking to people. I talked his ear off for, what for him must have been excruciating, 45 minutes. He could not have been more cool. Been a big fan ever since.
I got to meet Jeff, Ricky Carmichael and Jeff Stanton at a dealer signing in Oz years ago when they were doing the RCU riding schools. He was exactly as everyone here mentions, super cool, present in the moment and personable. He noticed my wife was pregnant asked how it was going, what we were having etc just a really genuine guy that was making sure everyone there had a good experience. I came away very impressed
Pit Row
Just like MC , said his best year was 2.2 mil, times sure changed just after those guys called it quits.
2.2 million in 2002 would be $3.8 million today according to the US inflation calculator and was MC pulling that on his SX only deal?
Well spoken man, enjoyed his stories.
My guess is yes, must have been in 99 or 2000, but that's speculation, bunch of win bonuses and a championship each year.
Please share a picture of you during this 48 gate A class win. I remember most of the fast guys in WI on KXs at that time, only fast CR I remember was Vandenplas and I’m pretty sure you’re not him…
Great episode.
I did 97 Millville post race party . I,d rather party with his sister Page tho. Ever been to Mo. dark haired dolls everywhere. Only places to beat it is a Indian res or Philly area. Emig had his Italian suit on with dark black Annette shades. Dropping hundred dollar bills 2 long rows of shots. He had his entourage around him. Like the King should. The rest of us getting wild. Nate jumps on my NCY 95 yz125 in back of my tricked out white ext cab sport trk& starts kicking it. Where all yelling hootin hollering. I say turn the gas on. It fires up Nate is screaming it everyone’s yelling .
Passed another 1 today in Chicago genuine cool Lithuanian owner. It might b the 50th co haha 20 of those ur and hair folical . Not what you expect from a guy that was trained by a lieutenant colonel & The boss at 23 at the biggest pipeline co with 16 divisions in the world, etc. 1990 a rv 4 drug testing setup drove onto the worlds strongest hhg rig job site. Our moto was 1 u pass up is 1 less you’ll ever hv. Yeah it was wild . 1st class or Lear jet meetings & 50 mil payments to organized crime to end a huge strike. 893 mil per project 5 of them Phily, Jersey area. Double date in the North tower top floor. I,m not leaving that to ride a bike for 24k. Anyway I dig Emig Great style on the 125 and fast. Beating Everts in the des nations I think I would bring that up every week. Phenomenal 250 outdoor rider. Red Bud he,s signing autographs sat at The Shift bus when no other rider was . With the. Beastly boys playen I ,m not star struck by anybody but that made little moto bros happy. Technicaly he’s still a ic so that’s quite an accomplishment. I gave up on w2 jobs the ic way is the best way , if u know what your doing tax wise, etc. more freedom for sure.
$4,551,589.24 US today according to one of the inflation apps
None of them r accurate. In 2016 to be a millionaire was 3.4 mil. Am780 Chicago cbs news.
Fro is also a huge Metallica fan. Toronto 2007?

We need an professional 125 interpretor.I feel.there may be something of value in all that.
Post a reply to: Emig in studio on PulpMX tonight
