No fun in that

What's not gonna be fun is the eventual solution to this problem we have.

Makes your person look bad - fake news

Makes your person look good - God almighty wrote that article himself

Makes your person look good, written by a non-good person - look past the writer, the message is correct!

The right in this thread calling it propaganda were simply pointing out the lefts hypocrisy...the left believes nothing from the kremlin (it's all propaganda), right up until they say something they agree with, then they support it and start shouting it from the rooftops.  I assume even you can see/acknowledge the hypocrisy of that?

It goes right back to, the messenger and the message don’t matter, as long as it’s what you want to hear

The real question should be are we Putin's friend or enemy. We have done some real shitty things to Russia over the past 100 years or so. That Putin controls a nuclear arsenal that includes continent killing nuclear subs each carrying more destructive force than all the weapons used in WW2 combined should dictate policy towards that country more than political doctrine. We share no borders with Russia, do not compete with them economically or industrially in any magnitude, do not have huge ethnic or religious differences, our sole reasons for this long-lasting mortal struggle are mostly political ideology. Is that any reason for the entire planet to be at the cusp and precipice of annihilation ever presently? We need to find peace with these people at all costs, our children need this, the human race needs this. Make no mistake we are at war with them now, our radar in Poland tracks Russian soldiers for their enemies, we supply and fund their enemies, we are making Russia an enemy of ours for generations. The nuclear question is not going away. Putin, though labeled a murdering zealot, has shown control over the genie we released from the bottle for now. Anyone who wishes he be removed, or if he is removed, God help humanity with who replaces him. We are talking about a people who lost one in five citizens in a war not too long ago historically. A people who had to amass 500 divisions to defend itself and has had hostile boots on its home soil repeatedly, our country has no way to comprehend those people's perspectives.

I think you might be watching too much Tucker.

So you don't see a difference between what you are talking about (American media trying to spin something to suit their agenda, or an American political party trying to manipulate something to suit their agenda, or every day Americans supporting/ignoring something to suit their agenda)...and a major political party in this country labelling something as disinformation from a foreign enemy being used to influence American politics (Russian propaganda)?

I see a massive difference between the two...

Respect and acknowledge your opinion Kongols, despite your lack of explanation. I learn more from people that disagree with me, than those that agree with me, don't you think? That the two powers in the world that have the most nuclear devastating power, the Armageddon powers, get along and make nice, should be self-evident. There is not an argument I have been presented that we should make an enemy of Russia. They have made forwards to us since the end of WW2, that we have rebuffed, despite our medias insistence that they are our mortal enemies. Anything to support the military industrial complex I suppose. Putin has even asked for admittance to NATO himself, twice! That the two of us, Russia, and the USA, became allies and rid the world of fascism only to fall out shortly thereafter is a shame. We could have continued the alliance to really forward the world's situation.

I honestly have no idea where you learnt history. What you say is frightening and I was raised in USSR. The way you present historical events makes me think you fallen victim to russian propaganda.

Russia stands only because USA funded them in WW2. If you knew anything about Stalin and 1945, you would not wrote a single word you wrote. Your way of thinking honestly scares me.

Being raised in the USSR doesn't mean you know anything about that country's political relationship with the USA, though I would be certain you know of hardships there. Of course, Stalin was a war criminal, of course he slayed many of his own people, and lend/lease helped the nation of USSR defeat fascism absolutely. Yet France had Algeria, Belgium had Congo, Turkey had Armenia, the USA had the Philippines, Native Americans, and it's Black citizens among many other sins. Very, very few governments are innocent of "governing" brutally. Japan had the Nanking massacre among many other crimes in China, of course Germany had the concentration camps, yet we spent huge amounts of money rebuilding them and became their allies, still having soldiers there to this day. You disregard the one in five Russians who gave their lives in that war, and the ability of that nation to amass 500 divisions in that effort, huge sacrifices. How Stalin conducted himself amongst his people, though heinous, was an affair between him and his people, not an object of US policy. My point is between the USA and USSR's combined efforts at that time the two nations did defeat fascism and made the world an arguably better place. And USA's policy should be first and foremost the safety and security of its own people. To make a mortal enemy and refuse diplomacy or cooperation with the only other nation on the planet that can "kill" the planet is foolish and shortsighted. My concern is the world I leave my Grandkids, I think that starts with reassuring there will be a world for them at all.

More than those two nations 'defeated fascism', and to be clear that isn't why the USSR fought the Germans in any way, shape, or form.  The only reason that the Soviets/Russians fought Germany is that the Germans invaded them.  Before that, they were happy to be allies with the fascists.

There are thousands of layers of context, but to assert that the US and the USSR had more than a 'the enemy of my enemy is my (temporary) friend' type of relationship is a fairy tale at best.

Seriously though…how are we supposed to know if something is Russian Propaganda or not?

So far this is what I’ve figured out based on conversations here in non moto:

Hurts the left…propaganda

Helps the left…reliable and accurate info

Is that pretty accurate?

Forgetting about nuclear war for a moment, would you prefer your grandkids live in a country more greatly influenced by US and western culture and governance or a country more greatly influenced by Russian culture and governance? Is your answer the same for male and female descendants?

Russia claiming the story of the viral testing (sequencing?) machines is true is propaganda. They have been promoting their relationship with trump for years, this story reinforces it. It propaganda for their domestic audience (trump lives us so much he helped us over his own country) and propaganda for the rest of the world to start conversations like we are seeing in this thread.

Most of you dudes upset about this Covid test thing were onboard with being locked up in your own home and not being able to leave anyway.

Why do you need to test for Covid if you can't leave your house to begin with?

I remember a guy being chased down the beach by some fat cops while on a run. He was alone…outside.

Don’t you follow the science?

You touch shit at the park with Covid then the next person touches it and they get Covid, right?

You drove your car to the school to work? That means at some point you had to get gas. I can’t even imagine the exposure in that.

I’m blown away that you’d even admit to taking such huge risks and putting so many other lives in danger.

Kamala and Newsome would be so disappointed in you.

You drove your car to the school to work? That means at some point you had to get gas. I can’t even imagine the exposure in that.

I’m blown away that you’d even admit to taking such huge risks and putting so many other lives in danger.

Kamala and Newsome would be so disappointed in you.

Going to a park with my son or working alone in my classroom is a problem?

Some of them have enough space between the back of the house and back fence to open the back door!

You're not wrong there.

Developers have been so pandered to, that previous Building Rules have been completely thrown out the window here. The argument that it keeps infrastructure costs - say water . sewerage / power down, road and transport cost down, hasn't kept pricing remotely in check.

The difference between older neighbourhoods. and 'New' ones, when it comes to plot sizes, and distances between dwellings, is astounding. And, as development happens in older neighbourhoods, they tend to put 2 to 3 dwellings on the same plot.

It's the way it is - mind you, for such a massive country (though, the driest on Earth) we've been one of  the most Urbanized / Suburbanized  in the World, since the beginning of the previous century. We. near all of us, live on the edges of the continent.

And, for quite  a few years, we rate as having the largest homes, on average, in the World. Near on Everything, seems to be McMansions now. With, ever smaller families inhabiting them.

Australia is the second driest continent, it doesn't rain in Antarctica!

Kind of on topic... Thankful Rudd built all the fences around the schools during the GFC. It'll stop Putin from bringing down the west and the kids will be able to enjoy drag queen story time without fear.

That's exactly what Pelosi is saying about how reckless you were during Covid.
