Hi  Tex.. we have a small oval track in backyard steep uphill it's handles great ! Haven't been to mx track yet but really impressed by the torque and wheelies with ease in sport or race mode....for 2999.00 +300.00 +tax was the best deal we could find and the quality is tops ! The company is in riverside California. Great service! Ciao Warren

That thing has the weirdest/most original frame ever. You sure can't confuse it with something else...

Right on there my man. I also have a Mantis X, had it for about 2 months now and love it. I explained in another thread that I have an RM 250, but there is no way I can ride it around my house without neighbors getting pissed off or calling the cops on me because of the noise. I also want to keep peace with my neighbors and I don't want them to know that I have motorcycles.  I have access to thousands of acres of farmlands and vineyards and a small track in a river bed right in my back yard. The nearest place I can ride my RM is more than an hour away. I can ride this emoto all I want without anyone knowing - I call it "ninja riding". This Mantis X is surprisingly fast and has lots of torque and most importantly - it makes no noise. Perfect for my under the radar riding needs. I used to be skeptic about these emoto bikes, but I love these things now. What I hate to see is all these young punk hooligan types riding these things out in the streets terrorizing just like the wheelie boys idiots. It's not a replacement for my RM, but it's a damn good fill in.

REALLY interested in one of these!  Is it basically the same size as a modern Supermini?  How is the fit, finish, quality of product?  Hope this little girl works out for you, dreaming of places to go on one of these as I type.......  Little fucker looks like too much fun!  Best of luck, keep us informed.

Really impressed with the quality and attention to detail! Weโ€™re having great fun ! Actually my son is๐Ÿ˜Ž I know theyโ€™re are probably better on the market but this is the only one we could find less than 3000.00 72 volt really has power to spare 50mph! Handling is not like my RMZ but for a Fun bike and first bike for my 13yr old son oh size is great Iโ€™m 5-10 son is 5-8 it feels like a Mx bike not a toyโ€ฆ

Itโ€™s perfect! Good Luck and stay safe!

Why is it a "definitely better bike"? Where are they built (either)?

The Altis Sigma is out now.  Definately a better bike than the MX5.  The whole e-dirt bike industry is moving very quickly, especially the 85 chassis size with Suron, Talaria, Ventus, etc.

Not trying to market anything. Just giving my honest opinion on this machine that a poster has asked about. It allows me to ride in a way that I would not be able to otherwise.

He is just in it for fun any more,  we don't chase races now. He had put 700 miles on his surron doing stuff like this,  he doesn't street ride.

We have looked at selling his 110 pitter and getting a rawr, but haven't put a bunch of thought into it.

Any dad that has a moto kid, get them an emoto. You don't need to mod one out with huge numbers, his stock surron does everything it needs to. He pulls from me when we woods ride.  " Dad, it's a mtb that I don't have to pedal" instead of reving the bike to pass he just honks the horn and says on your left,  2 of us, lol.

We put some tusk ground wire tyre's on it, did a chain conversion, and put shamino brake pads on.

I was expecting to see some semblance of this kind of design oN MX bikes more than ten years ago. I realize the first reaction may be "that's impossible" but I still wonder.

I encourage every moto dad or grand dad to get the moto kid in their life a Emoto bike.

But please keep them off the streets lol.
