Tomac, Webb, and Aaron Plessinger, Team USA should take this home,...

9/27/2024 10:46am

Plessenger will have to bring his absolute best, A lot of pressure on him to perform.

Pretty sure its Webb who has all the pressure. Hasn't ridden that bike in 8 years and hasn't raced a lot of outdoors in the past couple years..

When has Jett been bad in the mud except for that one race where he crashed multiple times? Wasn't 2022 Red Bud MXoN also kinda muddy? Or maybe you're confusing him with Prado idk.

I don't think he's a bad mud rider but HRC's magic holeshot technology definitely glitched on those wet start grates, 250 and 450.

Im not saying he’s bad, but he wasn’t exactly Everts out there either. Mud skill seems to come along with age. RC is a good example

I really can’t even recall an outdoor race that Jett has competed in that is considered a “mudder” except LL’s in 2020. We’ve been pretty lucky outdoors since then

Because of all that i would say that the preassure is off. While AP is the only original guy on the team, has ridden outdoors the whole summer and did it damn good. Yes he has his shoulder injury but the overall impression in here is that plenty of people just waiting to say ”i told you so” if he don’t perform.

If Webb don’t perform: He has not ridden a 250 in 8 years, he is not fit from the injury yet, not ridden outdoors for what? 3 seasons? But he maned up and went so it’s all fine.

If Eli don’t: Still coming back from injuy, not enough outdoor time on the bike, not a million dollars on the line so he settled for what ever position and people will still think that he is a legend for saving the team so they could go.

AP: we always said that he was a bad choice, the best team would have been Deegan, Tomac and Sexton. We should not pick riders just because they want to be there, we should pick the best etc…

So i REALLY hope that AP comes out swinging and don’t become the weakest link.

During the SX mudders i think he played it to safe to the point that it hurt him.

He rode decent at high point last year even if it was in drying conditions. Hunter rode great the last time in Matterley in 2017 tough in the mud.

I want to say HRC’s start map is largely the reason they always start up front…..but I follow MXGPs and Prado regularly kicks Tim’s ass for the holeshot…so….??

Got to give skill the nod.   Chase should dedicate himself to massive amounts of start training and set the goal to be the holeshot king.  I get the feeling he “practices” starts.  As in pretty much normal amount.  To have a shot at beating Jett….you have to start near him.

I forgot about that really bad New Jersey round (I think) and Jett was fine. That was 250s but he was fine.

Having a start map that is so great for the dry could hurt you equally in the wet.

But there are so many variables that comes to play when it’s a wet start that’s hard to compensate for.

Webb has overperformed his whole career, he has titles I think he will handle the pressure just fine, in fact he enjoys the pressure.

He has an outdoors MX 250 championship from 2016.  By all accounts, he did better outdoors on the 250 than he has on the 450.  I think he will be fine, in fact may be more than fine.  Regardless, I'm just proud of team USA regardless of where we finish.  Let's go boys!!

Deegan should pack his bags, and be ready, to be 'fucking hostile'.

Their are 4 very strong team this year.

As an Australian I hope for a podium, yes, I wish for a win.

But this race can be cruel, for any country.

Do the mxdn teams have backup riders?, is that allowed? I feel like Deegan should be ready. Postpone' the doctor. Kick ass.

That said, I do hope you that your race day is riddled in penalties for failed sound tests, followed by an unrepairable electrical issue prior to gate drop, resulting in a DNS... twice.

Kind regards, an Aussie convict 😆

Thanks BS12. Love you too!🙃

And one of those bikes is gonna have 21st+ gate pick for the MX1/MX3 moto.

Wonder who they stick out there?

I think it will be AP…. But it also could be determined by the results up to that point.

I'm referring to the Hunter brothers on HRC machines.

Different game when not starting top 5 and one of them is most likely gonna have to play it.

Yeah, I missed the connection in the previous post…. In that case I think it will be Jett as he can move up better than Hunter for sure.

Didn’t know it’s SXdN

AP has all the pressure. Two showings and he was the weak link. Webb has shown that he could battle at the top. I'm hoping Webb has talked to Kenny about what to do and what not to do on a 250. That bike is a rocket ship, I wouldn't be surprised if it is almost comparable to how he sets up his 450.

Matterly is quite an easy track to ride compared to lot in Europe it's got an ama feel to it very open not too technical but rutty so should be equal playing field, hunter after max was awesome 2017 when wet

I'm hoping Team USA takes it home so all the DeCoster critics will have to suck it up. Really proud of Eli, Cooper and Pless for standing up for America!!

Agree, and this team is absolutely in it.  Whoever stands on the top step had things fall their way...  But it could be USA for sure.

Still 4 teams that are going there expecting to win.
