It’s great to have someone who sees what is really going on in the race without all the ….

I see passes in sections myself and next minute JT comes through with the goods.

New lines, sections, sand whoops etc it’s awesome.

After racing forever its great to get some real commentary and JS7 too.

I used to not be able to stand listening to JT do any broadcasting including MXdN. But he has progressed so much and become better, I enjoy listening to him now. My only gripe for him is his emotions towards liking Jett so much causes him to state opinions rather than facts during a race. Even to the point he will mention lines Jett is the only one doing or first to do when others have already been doing it as an example.

This is to all TV people, not just JT.

Stop giving the riders excuses when you're leading up to your questions.

It was funny during the outdoor series when JT lead with an excuse to Sexton and Sexton shut him down.

Aside from that rant, yes, JT is doing great.

JT does a great job bringing up complex issues that most people watching want to hear about, including new fans. I don't think this was emphasized much at all before Daniel Blair and JT.  I disagree with the whole "Dumbing things down" strategy helps hook new fans. I think its lose lose and you bore new and old fans with those things.

I think using smart people who highlight topics with smart analysis of the unique nuances and complexities of our sport is what will attract new fans. The longtime racer or fan loves to hear about dirt characteristics, track prep, track, watering, lines, bike setup. My passion for the sport is built on this.  Continue to demonstrate to the new fans exactly what is so compelling to the longtime loyal fan.

You know someone is great at his job when the only complaints from some fools you see are usually about his looks..

Btw anyone else also thinking it would be cool to see some type of JT's Breakdown? That was probably my favorite pre race/post race content and I miss that.

JT is doing a great job but he needs to stop giving a long preamble to the question he is going to ask, or as you have observed, giving the rider an excuse.

JT does okay. But he's still awkward giving interviews.

Also here's a picture of JT with his "unbiased opinions" about Jett Lawrence.

Maybe that's unpopular with Americans because we're better at knowing when an idea is stupid.

Or you are just happy to listen to a guy that misses half of the action and try way to hard to create excitment with his voice to the point that even his co-hosts try to calm him down now..

That’s a horrible idea. JT has come a long way but he’s not even close to Weege. AC completely lost his train of thought at the start of the broadcast and JB and Katie Osborne just stared at him. JT would have been the same. If he had Weege next to him, Weege would have saved him.

I'd love to have a race with the 2 Jasons in the booth as a test with maybe AC on the track. JT is doing a great job analyzing and giving us great feedback and I almost think it would improve the show if he was on more. I feel him being involved in the industry on a daily basis, playing fantasy avidly, knowing the riders' strong points, weaknesses and history gives him an extra edge of knowledge compare to the other guys.

I’m my own worst critic but thanks to everyone for the kind words and also the constructive criticism. I’m a work in progress and I’d be lying if I said I was even close to where I want to be. I could dissect my mistakes on every show but that’s probably normal. I love the sport just like everyone here and know that I’m given a huge opportunity to analyze it for the audience. It’s literally my dream job and it’s a nonstop effort by me to get better. I hope it continues to show as I make strides. Racing, for me, was always an uphill battle so I know how to scrap for every ounce of progress.

P.S., Weege is so amazingly good at what he does. The transitional read and maintaining fluidity is so underrated. Leigh, Weege, and Paul Malin in MXGP are masters of this.

Great response JT. Keep at it. As long as you always feel you are trying to be qualified for a job you will always be improving.

JT is doing quite well. Better than most. He’s in the right role for him. Stew/weege are doing great jobs in their roles. The only person you would want to replace weege with would be Blair. And even that is just a side step to hear a different voice.

JT and Daniel Blair are the only two current TV broadcasting personality’s that make MX and SX look like a professional sport. I really appreciate the job JT is doing. Killing it

Blair blows Weigant away.  Not even close.  Blair,  Stew, AC and JT would be the best crew, although I don't think 4 are really necessary.   Whomever is in the booth, please just talk about the race going on right in front of you, and stop with the speculation and tidbits from last week.

DV and JT$ both posting on the same thread. Sweet! And agreed, Jason is crushing it and he even answers questions via DM’s on IG. Pretty cool dude.

JT$ you're doing a great job, and I know you need to be careful of what you say at times, especially on air. My biggest criticism on Pulp etc is your fence sitting/not wanting to upset anybody or be any kind of controversial. Of course its in your best interest for the most part, however when asked a direct opinion on something I already know we're about to hear you give us a fairly long winded "both sides of the argument" response in order to avoid controversy. Hot takes are a thing in moto media and do help to drive conversation, not htat there isn't already a plethora of them about.

Great work all the same, however

JT is awesome.   Plus he could ride a dirt bike better than anyone on here with very few exceptions.

The best combo today is you and Malin at the Gp’s you have co-hosted and the MXdN’s.
