Cant find the vid, but without a doubt James' scrub pass under Paul Carpenter over the triple in Pontiac.

I can't believe nobody mentioned the epic pass Kehoe (I think) put on MC for the win at Gatorback (I think) off the finish line jump. It was this gnarly, rutted jump and he just overshot it by a mile to take the win. There are pics of it and he's WAY up in the air. Or was it Mike Craig? I think it was Kehoe though.

Bradshaw '95 railing the outside of the left-handed 180 after the "No Solution" Reynard sick-nasty-drop-off-whip jump at Washougal. Song: Migraine - C.0.C.

This message is code for "Terrifirma 2 Ruled My Life".

Not outdoors but this is a pretty sick pass Roncada put on Stewart back in the 125 days:
(Pass is right at the end of the video after the whoops.)

Outdoor wise....there's been so many. If it involves RC and Stewart going at it, those are memorable passes. Example - RC and Stewart from Washougal 06
:

I got to witness that Ricky Vs. Bubbles battle. Most awesome motocross experience of my life, I'd say. It was surreal, and neither moto lasted long enough. I loved watching those 2 go at it, and I'll never forget that race.

I know what you're talking about. It's very hard to find, but well worth it. Awesome pass.

hands down, no bias here, anyone that saw it will agree.... Reynard on RC in 98 at 'dilla!

end of thread
That's the second time I've heard this brought up. Any photos or videos? I was just getting into the sport then, so I can't say I've seen it, or remembered it at least.

I'd say for me it was RC's pass on James at Budds for his 100th outdoor victory. It was Live on Speed, and my Dad, Mom and myself watched the whole battle all play out and even my mom, who does not usually watch the races, cheered in excitement as Ricky got by. That was just a special race.

Sorry for carrying on, but there was nothing better than watching those two world class riders lay it all on the line. I know James gets a lot of heat, but how many riders can say they have given Ricky Carmichael fits like him? A handful, at best. Regardless of his lack of riding now, you have to respect the man for giving us fans some of the best races we've ever witnessed.

Yeah I remember that well. Incredible. SE enters the section 3 sec. back and exits the section almost two sec ahead. Thx for posting that vid.

I was thinking of Washougal 06 when I saw this thread, after Ricky stuffed James in the back. It was after the Chuck Sun jump and James flew across the track and almost punted Ricky into the fence, I was standing right where Ricky flew off the track. Everybody hated James for that because they didn't see Ricky punt him in the back.

Same year, WMA race. Tarah Gieger stuffed Jessica Patterson in the corner before the whoops (last turn, last lap) and after the finish line JP$ tackled Gieger and they got into a fist fight. Then on the podium everyone were yelling at Patterson to go eat cheeseburgers and "go tarah!!" haha

Yeah it was hilarious JW.. I was there too. The fans were totally berating JP on the podium about it. Telling her to pick on someone her own size. Then saying no wait there's nobody in your class that big and shit like that. That also brings to mind how hard JP's worked since then with Ryno or whatever because JP is a lean mean fighting machine now.

I think it's in the S section at Washougal and the in and out both ran on each other was very cool. It's a great sequence.

Langston passing Alessi at hangtown (05?) was really something, the anticipation was so high given that Grant was like six secnds down at the beginning of the last lap and was reeling him in like a tractor beam. Just electric.

I was like first row right in front of the podium, it's likely you were standing 5 feet from me and didn't know.
