I heard on the Pulp MX show that the reason Kawasaki doesn't support the MXON is because of Roger De Coster. What did he do that they were angry about?
I just assumed it was Anderson not wanting to work with him from not getting special equipment in his Husky days... but got Kawi to say its them.
KTM using team tactics with Musqin and Dungey.
Nah it goes back years before him maybe even before wli was there. I sont really rremeber ever hearing why though.
This really is what it stemmed from, isn't it? Marv pulled over pissing Eli/Kawi off, Eli bunches them up, fast forward to 2018 MXoN, Kawi refuses to work as a team because of Roger's involvement, has a separate radio channel and doesn't communicate with team USA at all. Kawi has not been back since.

Pretty childish I'd say....
sounds like some 7th grade girls thinking they are cool stuff to me.
But they were still fine with showing up at redbud in 2018. Hypocrits.
Kawi did not seem to have any problems with Savatgy pulling over for Eli at MEC to earn him a shit load of cash if we are gonna talk team tactics
How many years in a row has Decoster been the USA team manager?
2many
I thought there is a beef between Mitch Payton and Roger over MXDN.
Mitch wanted to get more involved with the MXDN process and Roger made it clear that he's the boss and things will be done his way. Thats when Mitch stepped away. I don't know if that's why Kawi does not participate. That's paraphrasing what Mitch told Matthes once in an interview.
That’s when they pulled the radio bullshit…because they were using the race as a test for the 2019 bike and didn’t want KTM to overhear anything…
really I think its time for team usa to have a new more neutral manager,
Roger's personal agenda has gotten in the way too many times. Stew and Alessi are two who come to mind as having been screwed over.
I think it has more to do with him being a manager of a competitve team and they don't want him "running" a race with their factory equipment under the tent. It's ridiculous IMO.
Way too many. Even longer than RJ Hampshire has been in the 250 class.
They dont want to show some of the things the team does to a competing team. And Roger is so sharp he’s gonna notice everything. And why is Kawi being dragged into this? Its Star YAMAHA that refused to go
RD is in great shape for 80 years old and has been a tremendous asset but he really should set his owns needs aside and step down. Time for some new blood that maybe will energize the team and get people wanting to go. As mentioned above would be nice if there was a neutral team manager but not sure how you do that? Maybe set up a 4 year rotation with Kawi, Honda, Yami and KTM leading the charge each year?
Wow
So much of what you post is a “shit-stain”.
Once again, you manage to go “Full Ass Hole” &…then…drag RJ into this…& how you go about doing that…CONSTANTLY…is unfuckingbelievable. I’m docking you a full month’s use of your Man Card and revoking your “Dude” status for a full year.
You do not get to pass “GO!” & you do not receive ANY $.
In other words…
You Suck.

I wish you'd stop bottling things up...let it out man.🤣
Calm down mate. I'm sorry if my post triggered you. Instead of unloading you should try presenting an argument.
It's past time that our team has a manager that doesn't work for a specific manufacturer.
Don't tell TeamGreen that, he clearly has a deep love for Roger.
And regarding Roger, clearly there is a problem. Every single year lately the preparation and organisation of the US MXDN is a shit show. The team seldom wins and can't seem to take it's best riders. It's the richest, largest MX community in the world but its showing is usually subpar. In any other realm if this stuff was happening year after year the manager/ceo/boss would be replaced. Why not Roger? I don't give a shit if he is the 'Man' and a legend etc. This is not about his legend status and whether he is 'core' and a good guy etc. This is about managing the American MXDN team.
Certain subjects and people are off limits to point out faults and/or criticize, and RD is at the top of the list. You will get hate and thumbs down for pointing that out, but no one will give you a good reason for why he should remain the team manager besides “because”
Take Ricky out of the booth and let him manage it. I think that he'd do a great job
Maybe if all Roger had to worry about was logistics and making the event as stress free for the boys as possible we wouldn't have this shit show every year. Instead he has to play 3 dimensional chess with prima Donna's, who's healthy, who wants to go, who can't go, It's a headache I wouldn't want.
this would be unorthodox but an event like this u need a people’s person or a player coach type guy for team comradery , run the joint with AC up there
Grudges, no communication, being ultra secretive for absolutely no reason at all….just textbook “professional” motocross stuff here people, nothing to see here 😴
I ddefinitely don't feel as passionately as other about moving on from RD. But having a manager that alienates an entire brand iisn't ideal.
No disrespect to anyone involved, but how much of a role does the team manager have? All these riders are professionals and know what needs to be done, how to prep, etc.
I think it would be cool to have different former champs/professionals/ MXON riders go each year as ‘team manager’, would be a cool way to honor them and keep the excitement up
That would be a poor choice, Ricky Carmichael has no management experience, Ricky Johnson has experience managing a MXoN team!
