TLD

I’m hearing that Troy bought his company back. This is great news, in my opinion. We’ve seen what can happen to a mismanaged company.
Maybe that Ducati rumor for ‘26 may have legs after all… ?

Not sure if him buying the company back is closely related to wanting to run the Ducati efforts.

At the end of '23, Gas Gas announced that they had extended their contract with TLD for 3 more years.  I wonder what occurred for that contract to no longer be in place.

Me either, but I’m just hoping that he is involved with Ducati for a race team. American MX/SX is better with Troy involved.

My guess is the contract had KPI that were not met and allowed the contract to be void. I have never done a contract for this exact service but it’s directly what I do for a living and often poor performance has an out clause.

I thought i remembered a recent podcast with him where he more or less said he was backing away from the grind and moving his family to Portugal full time.

It would be pretty hard to run his company from Portugal, unless he plans on moving the business there too.

That’s great news, Troy is bad ass and a staple of our industry. I hope we see the TLD name on a hauler rolling into A1 next year.

Portugal sounds very random. You sure you picked that up right?

Team TLD is a completely different entity than the TLD brand. He owns 100% of the team, and is partial owner in the brand. He runs the creative side while the investment group manages inventory and distribution.

I’d be surprised if he bought them out unless his kids want to be more involved.

If there is no GasGas in Eunopened, aNd no fixed plans in AMA. Does this indicate Gas Gas wI'll disolve manurfacturing?

Has GasGas run iT's courselves, is it time for the KTM group to tighten the financial belt?

Or he was possibly able to get back in for a fraction of what he sold for. If the VC fund paid premium Covid prices, they're probably realizing their mistake and might just want out

I know they are the leader to get the Ducati team. But that’s not until 26. I know he wants to keep racing.

But I’m sure your info is probably better than mine

That would be best awesome, if that’s what he wants to do.

Troy was on Gypsy and explained the team and business.  As well as production of their gear and clothing.

It’s true, Troy spends a few months of the year in Portugal. He has a house there. He has a factory in Portugal that’s why he started to go there more often. I think they manufacture some of the helmets.

The paint on that helmet is so F’ing cool. I’d love to see the world through Troy’s eyes for a day.
