What are the grounds like? I know it's been raining daily and has rain projected daily for the next 10 days. I'm planning on going, but if it's anything like last year I'm just going to stay home. Last year was miserable, but we got a lot of sustained rain and not the quick patches of rain they appear to get getting right now.
Two weeks camping at LL cost 50 grand who can afford that?
Yeah it’s dry right now. Not wet at all but the forecast doesn’t look ideal :/
Where is there to ride around here? I am going to back 40 Mx Thursday or Friday but was wanting to ride Wednesday
Good luck to those attending. I do not miss traveling across the country and spending so much money, only to have it rain like cats and dogs. It’s such a bitchen facility and a great experience. Too bad that the weather seems to affect the races almost ever year.
Stopped at the LL exit and filled up with diesel 3 days ago does that count?

Wouldn’t it be cool if it didn’t rain there every year?
Update. dumpeddd rain. Forecast looks BIBLICAL. lol. I'm more here for vacation & have fun, so trying to keep that mindset. I'm looking forward to last 3 NGPC's & using Loretta's as training for that 🤣🤣 the real focus is ridgecrest NGPC hahaha. Nice to get out of cali for a while see my friends & family from back this way.
From 2017 - 2022 there was no significant rain. I recall it raining in 2017 for a few minutes while the 65 class was on the gate and they had a mud moto, but the track was fine after that. Then a couple years later it rained during the final moto of the week. I think that's the only rain we saw over a 5 year stretch.
2023 was a freaking mess. I'm really hoping the bulk of the rain is done for this year, but they will definitely be getting more. I'm trying to keep a close eye on it.
We’ve actually been really lucky the last handful of years, other than the PW50 fiasco from last year after the downpour lol.
When we were there in 2020 it didn’t rain at all, and highs were mid 80’s. Perfect week
Last year it rained, but atleast it was after half the racing was over.
About to leave in a couple hours and will be there tomorrow morning for 2024!!
Such a huge event to test the next generation and the track is flat.
Drove by there yesterday for work. Number of rigs and campers aalready there.
Is it really that expensive? Even 25 grand sounds outlandish. How is it that expensive lol. At that rate, I’ll never be able to afford it in my lifetime.
I live about 40 miles away and it's pretty wet here. Living here and racing there 9 times, I aways thought August was the worst time to have it. Have Fall area qualifiers, early spring regionals, and the national in June. With school starting back so early now, they are not staying away from that anymore. Probably just old man crazy talk.
We live in TN also, sucks having kids miss first few days of school.
Some schools around us started back yesterday.
Forecast is looking better, gonna be a warm one, but hey its LL's in August.
Dont worry, if it doesn't rain, they'll water enough to act like it did, and disk 4.5' deep to "separate the men from the boys"
First motos should be on grass! Lol
Pit Row
That’s in pesos
I rode today at back 40 Mx. it was sick! It doesn’t seem super wet at Loretta’s right now. It’s been raining a little here & there but nothing crazy.
Also did not spend $25k on Loretta’s 😂 I mean it is pretty spendy but that’s outrageous
Loretta's is for the home schooled kids😎
My son is there with his gf who qualified. They got there Wednesday morning. He’s bored to tears and can’t wait for the motos 😂. Said it’s like playing frogger with idiots on side by sides. Let’s ban 110s so idiot kids can really do some damage on SXS’s 👍🏻
Bring a bunch of the cheap pool floaters for hours of entertainment floating down the stream.
Rocks end up tearing them up but its fun while it lasts.
Post a reply to: Anyone at Loretta's yet?
