But Ryno has Glen Helen wired. And he's riding well, but hasn't raced much. If he rides a smart race he'll finish strong.
His radiator shroud graphics have been known to leap off the bike due to the wind velocity that he puts on them going down the hills at Glen Helen.
His mx gloves often run and hide due to feelings of inadequacy when looking at his calloused meathooks of hands.
In a crash, his helmet has been known to try to hide INSIDE Ryno's head.
"Go Ryno!"
Desalle
Philippaerts
Seb. Pourcel
Coppins
Alessi
With all due respect, Ryno is a bad dude, but I don't see him beating any of those guys. Let alone winning.
such a big motocross country and looks like very few can see anything about the sport.....
i'm a big fan of ryno, specially for what he has done after pro racing........but i think you need to get real......top 5..!!!!!!!
btw.......where is all the jimmy albertson bandwagon ??? isn't he american anymore ???
shoulndn't you be pulling for him to do good in his home gp....???????
Hopefully things will go better for him at GH, but really not too likely - hope I'm wrong.
Jeff Seidenberg
Pit Row
Though, I really like Coppins, I hope he does good.
last years british camp round is what im basing it on, home turf & good fitness will see him to a strong finish.
Now all of a sudden he's going to get a top 5 in a world championship race ? I know Ryno has the knowledge of the track but the GP riders have alot of time to figure out the track. It's not like they turn up...eat a burger...have a monster energy and go ride. They will know the track inside out come race time on the sunday.
I like the guy alot so I hope he can get Agueda out of his head and get back up in the top 10.
Dont forget along with the regular stacked top 15-20 GP riders you will have BT, Alessi, Wey, Dietrich, Brown and more in there, the field will be stacked with world class riders, getting a point will be a big achievement the fastest battle for 20th place ever I think.
Yep Jimmy has a good chance to do well at Glen Helen, maybe a top 5, more people should be getting behind him and Osborne- they are the ones representing their country every weekend around the world. He had a bad weekend in Portugal but that is going to happen this year, ups and downs depending on tracks/starts, and if you get a bad start in GPs you can forget moving through the field unless you are Cairoli or someone like that. 8th to 17th are all about the same speed !!
Alessi is riding the US GP as well very little hype about him coming into outdoors this year for some reason, and since he lives at Glen Helen and has been riding it every week, he should be favourite American to win.. unless James shows up...if Mike is going to beat Cairoli anywhere it will be Glen Helen I think.
Roll on Hangtown and Glen Helen!
At the end of the day everyone will know that at least ONE rider that day, did NOT leave ANYTHING on the track.
There just seems to be a lack of the Stanton/Ward/Dowd/Kiedrowski/Hannah/McGrath/Carmichael ethic out there over the last decade or so. There are a few exceptions (RV &RD come to mind), but look at the kind of rides Stanton would put in. He would win by the shear force of will and his own desire to be in the best "racing condition" (and that includes prep as well as physical) of anybody on the track.
Top 5? Nobody is a "sure thing" for a top 5. Rhyno is CAPABLE of winning this race for some very legit reasons. No promises, just the oportunity to prove it.
The G.P. just went from a "...I'm going to go riding this week instead.." to a "must....follow....Rhyno...." weekend.
Go back and look at that pic from the 125cc (back when they were 125cc) National. Are YOU going to doubt that man?
I dont think he will win, but I think its awesome he believes he can. Good luck.. And like he said its 'just for fun' and isn't that the only reason we ride these expensive toys? Wish there were more American riders taking this attitude to the GP.
