he is the only up and coming 250 racer who is likely able to take it to lawrence in 25 (some rumors, which I'm for) or 26. when bradshaw moved up, I admit no one saw mcgrath being part of the equation so quickly, but could that happen again? it won't. lawrence is going to effing thrive on this new CR. it's a CR he and hunter helped build. think about that. this could be the greatest matchup in the sport's history, and like many of you I'm a historian of the sport. the difference in attitude, race craft, and riding style are a perfect storm. whether you like him or not (and if you don't then why) haiden is a modern day bob hannah.

i guess you are seeing the future of american motocross too dark.....

hasn't history shown you that kids like hymas, kitchen, even cochran, can put things together, get some luck, and be even better then deegan, that is beating them now, when big bike comes...?????

The conversation on Pulp about Haiden potentially having his own team when he eventually moves up to 450 and Starling mentioning a TV show got me thinking; what if instead of pushing a “Drive to survive” type series on a streaming platform, it was a behind the scenes with Haiden as he navigates the 450 class. It could be pitched as; “Instead of going the traditional route and taking a factory ride in the premier 450 class, Haiden bets on himself starting his own team to battle the best in the business on a privately owned team.” Totally spitballing here but just an elevated version of the Vlog, featuring some behind the scenes with other notable riders, riders and teams mic’d up just like ‘Drive to Survive’ but mostly centered around Haiden and his new/privately owned team by an up and coming rider.

This won’t be the first injury that Jett fakes

Very cool idea, would be a great watch. Problem is the sport and how one injury puts a stop to everything. Would need more story lines to veer off to.

Yeah, no. The sport is bigger than one rider.

We can't even get these guys to open up about what kind of changes they make between motos and you expect them to film behind the scenes.

We have ML getting blasted shit for photographing things they don't want us to see.

If you want to ‘fake’ an injury, he had a pretty horrendous crash that he eventually got off the ground from and rode 2 motos. He could’ve had an extra month off.

Deegan is a killer rider but these kinds of threads are why people find his fans so off putting. It’s just motocross dude

That show was only good when DV was going off the rails….or was that another show with a similar plot from 10 years ago.

It will be interesting to see how he progresses into next year . I’m sure he thinks he can win 450 and he probably could

It would be a mix of that show with Deegan’s outspoken attitude and Bubba’s World 😂

I think we are seeing some pretty good shit right now and I’ll sit back and enjoy it for what it is and not try to predict the future. Anyone can end up on their ass at any time as we’ve seen multiple times already.

I realize that a behind the scenes style show is almost impossible but I also thought Feld and MX sports would never work together and they are now so who knows what is possible.

I remember Troy Adamitis and the SX Spy videos doing an incredible job capturing a behind the scenes look into our sport (just to give an example that it’s possible) and with Deegan already being comfortable behind the camera and our sport being more popular than it ever has; why not have a streaming show centered around one of the more popular riders to help give more recognition to moto? They (as in the already trusted crew of Vurb and other popular filmers in the paddock) would show how much bigger the sport is than Haiden and why it’s so difficult for a younger/touted rider to not only manage a championship in the 450 class but potentially, also manage a private team to break the status quo and bring bigger outside sponsors to a sport that has been mostly riding on the shoulders of OEMs and energy drinks.

For immediate release:

The AMA (the white coats, not the Harley guardians) announced today that MX Myopia is now an officially recognized medical condition.

I would love to know what planet anyone is on who thinks Deegs is ever going to challenge Jett, let alone in his first year. He has only just started winning 250s and plenty of top 450 guys like Coop and KRoc would wax him. And they are not on Jetts level

Mixed messages OP are you a deegs Stan or jett? Out of the current crop of (present & past) 250 riders deegs is the only one with the speed and heart to dig deep enough to possibly beat jett & CHASE, in my opinion of coarse. I hope he goes 450 outdoors 25 and I think he will if he seals the deal in SX. Deegans want to race the best not sand bag for an extra year. Done enough of that in the amateur days. (LOL) no hate, they’re programme obviously works and lil deegs is a hell of a rider. Exceeded my expectation for sure.

I liked the Admantis stuff. Really liked but I am definitely not a fan of fabricated drama as I believe that’s all a crew surrounding the Deegan clan would be doing. We don’t need that kind of shit if we want to be taken serious as a sport.

Bold strategy cotton. I don’t think deegs is lacking speed, maybe a little finesse and technique to jett but I think he makes up for that with heart and will to win. Time will tell. Jetts unreal don’t get me wrong…. But so is deegs.

Deegs will over ride the 450 and touch the soil a lot from that as he won’t get away with all the close calls that he does on the 2fiddy.  Over revving a 450 will get you no where, ask Barcia.

Yep, smooth riders have always waxed their aggressive counterparts on 450s. Windham vs RC, Tomac vs Ken, RV vs Dunge, Chad vs Stew. Throttle control always won against aggression.

Whether you and I agree with it or not, drama (even fake drama) gets people talking. We can use the drama in our favor to potentially get more regular viewers just like F1 has with their series. Verstappen is polarizing and brash but goddamn can he back it up and it sure makes for things to talk about.

'Splain this to Lucy since I'm admittedly not all that bright - how does contrived drama "...get more regular viewers..."? Are there mainstream sources feeding video clips of these antics to non-fan demographics (commercials, etc.) to expose them and hopefully draw them in as "regular viewers"?

I don't see it like that. To me, there's nothing new about it - it's Pro Rasslin', MX-style. They throw some raw meat to the room-temperature-IQ crowd to get them foaming at the mouth and keep them coming back for more... and it obviously works - just read this forum.😄 So, I see it keeping some of the fish that were already in the pond on the hook... but not bringing more fish into the pond.

If you want to ‘fake’ an injury, he had a pretty horrendous crash that he eventually got off the ground from and rode 2 motos. He could’ve had an extra month off.

He won every overall before and after that crash too. Why would he fake an injury?

Poster has to be trolling. Jett has his eyes on championships and all time records. He isnt going to quit a series with a fake injury.

Would have been easier to just give up immediately after his crash and not race through pain if he was scared of a challenge.

i don't think you will see any self owned team of that nature anytime soon or again. its probably the fastest way to exit motocross because it will drain the owner of cash and the desire to actually do it.  its a lot of work and $$$ more than these "fan" dreamers realize

Guess I got to see the Deegs pull up to the track too many times and sit in the truck for a minute so the camera guy could get out first so the act could begin with the cameras rolling.  Not a fan of fakeism.
